Affordable, incredible location for walking and beach

Very affordable for the location, a short walk to quiet beach. My room was clean, and I was upgraded. No fridge or microwave in original room which is something to note. But the staff were friendly and available, and I will be staying here again the next time I’m in the area!

I suffer from "tinnitus" (ear-ringing) and I usually turn on the cooling or the fan in the room I sleep in, so the tinnitus quits instantly, and I go right to sleep. With ANY kind of "white noise", the tinnitus is instantly turned off. I have a small fan I run in the room at home that I sleep in. I should have brought it with me, but didn't know that neither the fan nor the cooling worked in my room. It takes a LONG time to finally drift off, when the tinnitus is active. That is my only complaint.

I actually left and checked into The Holiday Inn Express across the street.

The convience and it was in a good neighborhood right off the freeway.

It wasn't secure, there was no chain lock on the door and it was right on the street. It didn't feel clean and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, I could feel the springs. The pillows were not comfortable and the bathroom didn't feel clean. There were no amenities, nothing to heat the water in in the morning, no hairdryer, and nothing in the morning offered. The staff was nice, but slow and I didn't feel comfortable there at all.

The floors were dirty, I had to clean them. Smelled like smoke so bad that you could hardly breathe. Air conditioner made the smell worse. Beds were uncomfortable. Curtain was smoke filled. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room but very obvious it wasn't. Wasn't able to move rooms either.

When we got to office, we were confronted with multiple homeless people and they’re aggressive dogs. We got to our room and it was very obvious that none of the linens had been changed. There were dirty towels hanging in the bathroom. There were dirty dog paw prints on the sheets on both beds. We were in the room for less than 10 minutes before we decided to not stay. It’s been well over a week and management has still not issued a refund.

I Didn’t stay there was no hot water

Being told when I check in that there’s gonna be hot water in 30 minutes and then 2 1/2 hours later you call the front desk to find out there’s not gonna be any hot water until the following morning. That was the whole reason why I rented a room for that night so I left.

As far as Motel 6 goes it was one of the better ones.

Trying to find something nice to say. Free WiFi was good and reliable. Pool was clean. Security guard at night was alert and proactive. The location was very close to the beach and the price was good for the area. The front desk staff were mostly friendly.

The clientele are of course the biggest issue here. I felt the need to use shirts as pillowcases because of how thin they are. They supply conditioner on request but not shampoo. Towels are so thing and heavily utilized, you can sense the last person who used it. The grass was so long and unmowed for a long time. The guys came round to mow it and still left half done.

The property was dated and dingy. There were questionable characters seemingly allowed to trespass. My room had no electricity and only the light in the bathroom worked. None of the outlets. I had 1 body towel for a 3 person reservation and after calling several times over my 48 hour stay. I received them after checkout time and my children were unable to bathe for 2 days after spending the days at Legoland. Manager Kiki was rude and dismissive. Worst experience ever.

Dank and smoky (non-smoking) room !

The ONLY redeeming feature of this Motel 6 is the location; it is extremely close to a Ralph's /CVS / Starbucks shopping center. And, it is very central to local, good beaches. It is RIGHT near the I-5 (Poinsettia) on and off ramp on the 'better' side of I-5; that being WEST of I-5.

We are BOTH non-smokers who distinctly requested non-smoking and this room smelled like an old ashtray. My clothes ALL reek of STALE Motel 6 now I always bring my ROKU on trips to connect to the room T.V. None of the HDMI connections functioned on the room T.V.--I've NEVER had a room where I had a problem. And we DESPISE commercial television; being forced to watch non-streaming just added more to the disappointment level of this experience. Fortunately, this was a high school reunion and I drank enough NOT to stress about the dumb T.V. ! That room just needs an entire tear down and rebuild. Burn holes in the drapes The floor was kinda like walking barefoot into a tired movie theater; sticky-dirty. This place got TWO THUMBS DOWN from us!

the room was very dirty, beds looked like a bum had been sleeping on it with all the stains and dirt all over it. bugs were smashed all over the walls, roaches running all over the place and mold all over in the uncleaned bathroom. we had to get a refund and find another place to stay that ended up costing us three times the price. very disappointed with this motel 6.

Room themselves where not as depicted. Linens were sparse for the guests, and the beds were less than basic - worn in mattresses and pillows. And it appeared that both linen sets in our beds still had sand in them as we could feel it when we played down to sleep. Curtains were torn and the exterior of the hotel was not clean at all. Also upon arrival the property had a hand written sign indicating that they were cash only, which in this day and age seems ridiculous to me. Ended up paying via the booking app and should have just left at that point. Will not make that mistake again.

Unsafe Stay: Outdated Motel, No Response After iPad Disappeared

The motel is very outdated, and I am extremely disappointed with the service. During our stay on July 26th and 27th in the room 209, my daughter hid her birthday present—an iPad—under the bed mattress for safekeeping, as there was no safe available in the room. Unfortunately, we forgot it there when we checked out. The very next day, we contacted the motel both via the Booking.com contact form and by phone, asking housekeeping to check the room. We were told the iPad was not there. I specifically requested that someone check under the mattress, but was informed that only the area beside the bed had been looked at. Despite this, we never received any proper follow-up or response. It seems obvious that when the mattress liner was changed, housekeeping must have found the iPad. Yet we were simply told it was “not there,” and no further effort was made. My daughter is heartbroken and devastated at losing her birthday gift. After I left a negative review, the motel replied that they wanted to follow up and asked me to send an email. I wrote five emails—one every three days—but I never received a single reply. This shows that the motel pretends to care about customer complaints but in reality has no genuine interest in helping guests or resolving issues.

I arrived at the motel and when I went to reception to check in, they told me that my reservation couldn't be found, that it didn't appear in their system, and that they couldn't sell me another room because they were fully booked. I asked them what would happen, but they didn't resolve the issue and still charged my card. 0% recommended

Overall, it was a horrible experience.

Nothing to like in this hotel

The room had no outside window, only one facing the interior corridor. For privacy, it had to stay closed because anyone walking by could see directly inside. This made the room dark, stuffy, and uncomfortable, with no fresh air or natural light. The mattress was old, and the springs were pinching my back, making it difficult to sleep. Room cleaning service was not available on a daily basis, and no basic toiletries like toothpaste or a toothbrush were provided. There was also no wake-up call service. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and the lack of comfort and amenities made my stay very unpleasant. The actual experience did not match the listing on Booking.com. I would not recommend this property.
