Stayed for 2 nights. Great value for money. Got an apartment with 4 bedrooms. Apartment was very spacious. Each room has a twin bed. No airconditioning but we had fans in every room and it was rainy weather so quite pleasant. Didn't miss the air conditioning. Unit was equipped with a kitchen. They provide a few kitchen utensils but they aren't too clean and most were chipped. Rooms could do with better/cleaner sheets. They also provided towels and basic toiletries. Parking was free. Central location. Safe. Great for families looking for an economical option with no frills.

Ok, I know that a hotel can’t control the weather, but Halifax in summer is stinking hot and humid. So when I arrived at the room it had been sun heated for the day. The window only opens marginally, and there was no fan available to encourage ventilation. The measure of a place isn’t if there is a problem, like a 35c room, but how they deal with it, which they did not.
So I left the door open to get even a modicum of ventilation going, and turned to other details, like the cleanliness.
The easy to clean parts of the floor had been washed, but anything slightly out of the way had not. So a spill under the desk of unknown vintage. Years of grime built up in the corners around built in fixtures corners. Ok, not critical, just keep to the main parts of the floor.
Then I pulled back the sheets. Stains on the pillow, stains on the bottom sheet. I didn’t investigate the type of stain, and ended up folding the top sheet in half and sleeping in that as a buffer between me and the base sheet. I didn’t dare remove the bottom sheet.
The shared bathroom was clean, and a cool shower provided some relief.

Great staff, roomy accommodation and very clean.
The towels were functional but not up to hotel standards. Given the price, that’s forgivable.
I was a little surprised that a university dorm did not have any USB wall outlets.
