Bachelor and Double room in Bedford, Halifax

Entrée indépendante avec code d’accès et un autre code pour l’entrée de la chambre, salle de bain dans la chambre.

La chambre était exigüe par contre l’équipement était bien sauf qu’il nous fallait laver la vaisselle dans le petit lavabo de la salle de bain et pas de linge à vaisselle. Remarque à faire, concernant les photos, c’est un bachelor avec salon qui apparaît en premier donc sur les 15 premières et pour la chambre de 16 à 41. Contrairement, à ce que je croyais avoir loué soit le Bachelor et non la chambre, Mr Joseph nous a répondu que c’était la chambre double que nous avions réservée et non le Bachelor car il était déjà loué au moment où j’ai réservé. Je n’ai pas insisté mais je suis resté dubitative car ça ne m’est jamais arrivé une situation semblable avec booking.Com. Il serait peut-être souhaitable que l’hôte ou Booking précise que les photos de 1 à 15 concernent le Bachelor et de 16 à 41 concernent la chambre avec lit double. De plus, si la porte adjacente donnait accès au Bachelor, qui semble-il était loué durant tout notre séjour soit trois nuits, nous n’avons jamais entendu la porte d’entrée s’ouvrir ou se refermer et aucun bruit n’a été entendu provenant de celui-ci.

I chose this place because rates in Halifax were sky high this weekend. The posting looked acceptable and the price was lower than I hoped for. I knew was I was getting into. The location is not in Halifax but a nearby suburb. It was super easy and quick to get into town - 15 minutes. It is in an extremely safe, beautiful looking neighborhood. You do need a car to get to most places, but I have one. Parking in the driveway is provided. One evening it got cold. I couldn't find a way to heat the room so I messaged the owner. Within one or two minutes a heater was at our door. It warmed the room very quickly to the point I had to lower the heat. It was very cosy. The room is small, but the ad says so. It has everything you need however. A refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, private bathroom with soap, towels. There is a small hallway upon entering the room which was the perfect place to store our luggage and keep it out of the way. I never actually saw the owner except once in passing where we waved hello to each other. He totally respected guest privacy I would not hesitate staying here again and totally recommend this place.

Access to the property could actually be described as dangerous including a poorly designed sidewalk with odd inclines, parking involved backing into a high traffic volume street. The unit was adequate but REALLY awkward including having to navigate a washer/dryer combo to use the toilet and shower.
