Felt like visiting grandma house with beautiful historical vibes and warm and cozy energy
Floors and bed were rather squeaky. I worried I was waking up other guests.

Allowed us to visit an area in NB that we had not seen before, including the Gaspe Peninsula. Very rural with lots of interesting architecture.
Unfortunately, the auberge was right on the main road through town and there is a commercial port just up the road so there was very heavy/noisy truck traffic beginning at 5am. Impossible to sleep in. Most of the rest of the day was lighter traffic. We also found out after we arrived that the restaurant was closed Sunday/Monday/Tuesday (the 3 days we were there) as the tourist season was over so only got to try it out Wednesday morning for breakfast. Otherwise, mostly fast food joints nearby.
