The restaurant was fine but not amazing

Location is great.
Hotel is very dated and rough around the edges. We were the only ones using the restaurant and it felt like we were an inconvenience.

The marsh was nice. EV chargers were a plus.
Room cleanliness (crumbs and bobby pin on carpet, bathroom vent filthy). Windows clouded by dust and grime. Pool out of commission. Hot tub not open until 10 AM. General neglect of property which was attractive when first built. The freeway noise/pollution and distance to downtown were minuses. Bed was a bit soft.

The waitresses at the breakfast buffet was very nice
Ice machine on our floor did not work, pool was out of service and bar was closed one of the nights we were there and were charged $15 a day to park in the hotel's large parking that was 75% empty.

I liked that the hotell is by marina bay, and I liked even more when we had breakfest and the lady was wonderful and funny and helpful.
Although our rum was not so close to the elevators, it had quite disturbing noise, not to mention the gym, where somebody was running like Usain Bolt on a treadmill 06:08 a.m, and it sounded like hell! And the top on the cake were the trains which were honking every time they passed the cross.

Bed was so comfortable. The bar was great for late evening bottle of wine.
Parking was confusing. We didn't pay for it but heard others did.

Clean, spacious room, comfortable bed and additional seating.
For the size of the hotel, restaurant and vending machines are limited.

I really can't say anything was enjoyable. Disappointing start to a birthday weekend.
Not at all what it is advertised. For the price, we were expecting at least working ac. And our room was above the smoking area. We were forced to open a windows because it was so hot and got smoked out the whole time. We came for the pool and it was closed. The whole place seems to be in need of updating. Very disappointing stay will not come back. I'm genuinely shocked at the good reviews.

The location was great and the view was nice.
The pool was closed, the ice machine was broken, both coffee machines were broken (they brought the second to my room and it too was broken) we did not get the Marina view as booked. There was cigarette butts on the patio we had plus a burn hole on a piece of furniture, clearly not a non smoking. The walking path was closed.

Quiet rooms, comfortable bed.
Check in process easy
Tired old hotel, needs an entire renovation and upgrade. Pool was out of order (not great with kids wanting to swim). Ice machine and laundry on our level was out of order. No cocktail or wine list available at the bar when ordering drinks.

What my friends I enjoyed most was your hostess Barbara, she was so friendly and personable.
I picked the hotel because it had a pool and a hot tub , I was so bummed when we got our bathing suites on and went to the pool, only to find out their was a issue, the the pool was closed.

was a bit out of dis-repair. Looked a bit neglected.

Your drapery was too thin and couldn’t block out parking lot lights. Your AC machine was too loud. This made it hard to sleep.

Beautiful property
They couldn’t check us in, so we ended up not staying.
The receptionist seemed super annoyed and unwelcoming, so we just went home.

Clean rooms, pool and hot tub, nice location by the marina, staff was really nice and helpful.
Tv didn’t work, no WiFi, AC wall unit didn’t work but the controls on the unit did, pretty far from any restaurants.

I accidentally booked the wrong dates thru booking.com when coming off a very late flight from a long business trip. I booked two rooms for one night. I realized after getting to the hotel that I had paid for the wrong nights. I ended up getting the two rooms on that night (November 12th), earlier than my booked date (November 26th). I asked for a refund, they would not even respond!! This was on my business card ugh. I would 100% understand if I booked and just didn't end up wanting to use the rooms as they had a no refund policy. However, since I did the identical booking two weeks earlier and spent one night ( two rooms), I was hoping they would at least respond to me. The woman that helped me when I got to the hotel at 1am on the day I meant to book said that the "operations manager" is nice and would totally understand. Apparently, that was not the case. I now have to explain to my employer why I have over $700 at the Sheraton in Petaluma instead of the $350 they agreed to pay for. I'm very disappointed to say the least. I wish they would have at least responded.

Things were very good and the staff was great. A few more choices in the restaurant would be nice.
I called directly to get a reservation and was given an outlandish price, then went to check places on the internet and the difference was very surprising.

Location is perfect for my needs for both convenience and having the lovely walking areas around the marsh area. It's very beautiful.
My stay at the Sheraton this time was very disappointing. First, I spent quite some time picking out the right room with the right ammenities when booking on booking.com. I found the right price point for a slightly upgraded room with a balconey. What I got was the same room as always facing the parking lot with no balcony. Clearly, a waste of time and money on my part. Further, seriously, there's a $13/day parking charge!? In Sonoma County, no less, where you have a big parking lot. I paid more than $450 for a great experience and you're nickle-and-diming me over parking. Top that off with it being clear that the hotel has seen better days. Def in need of a refresh (the carpeting in the main area is so worn and old looking). I'll look for other better value options next time I stay in Petaluma.

The rugs were older and had many stains throughout the residence

Breakfast was not included
To not be told that the room rates change for weekend stay. So Friday rate was increased by $50 for Saturday. Did not get any satisfaction from staff at desk when I called to question room rates. Had jacuzzi tub that did not work

I’ve stayed here before many times with my Mom to visit cousins in the area. this visit my husband was having some serious trials from stroke and I traveled to visit cousins while he was in UCSF for a week. The staff is so pleasant and accommodating and remembered my name. I shared a funny story about a visit my Mom and I made! we were told a continental buffet for breakfast. we thought we found it, as we filled our plates I noticed everyone going into a specific room to eat and noticed a staff member from hotel writing down info! I’m in the dental profession and recognized that this was a seminar!! I told Mom just walk to our room with our plates immediately! once there I told her it wasn’t our hotel buffet! we ate our breakfast, Thankyou and then I thought of my goodness! We have plates and no charge for room service!! We washed plates in our room and I put in my luggage!! upon checkout my Mom was certain buzzers would go off at leaving and left me to checkout!
Needless to say, my Mom has since passed but I use these plates daily!! Hope you appreciate the hilarity here!! Colette
it is wonderful.
