Hotel Lucerne

Amazing location and beautiful hotel.

I didn't like that we were forced to have our rooms cleaned. We were inconvenienced when we came back to our room and housekeeping was cleaning our room making us wait nearly an hour to get into our room. Also, the bell hops are too pushy asking guests to get a car through them. I wanted to get an uber, but the bell hop was so aggressive with me that I finally relented. I think that once a guest says "no thank you", the bell hops should not ask a second, third, and fourth time.

Location, Location, Location!!! The room was nearly perfect. For breakfast a lot of nice places around so no reason to do it here.

It was great to have a room to accommodate 4 people - our family, but the overall experience was okish, room is packed and small, bathroom without a window and the floor is wet, lots of humidity.

Staff at the front desk always busy and signals "talk to us only if you really need" disappointing.

The location was very pleasant and conveniently located near Central Park and a subway stop.

Our check-in process wasn't great. We arrived 30-minutes prior to check-in and they couldn't accommodate us yet. They said they would text us when the room was ready, but they didn't and I had to go to the desk again. There were no "extra" amenities. We were very disappointed that the attached breakfast restaurant didn't open until 8am.
