The hotel is a now-dated reno of a very old building. It doesn't match the vibe of the pictures it has online, which may have been taken on the opening day long ago. We picked it for location and price and now understand the low ($400+) price. No bedside tables which is highly inconvenient. It was supposed to be a "Premium King" room. Not a chance. We've stayed at many other renoed hotels in Old Montreal...far nicer with nicer amenities. It was one of the only hotels that had a vacancy for our dates. We now know why. Frankly you can do better. Three positive points...they have robes. That's rare...so great points for that. Location in Old Montreal is great. And, the staff at the other end of the Front Desk emails is EXCEPTIONAL. Very responsive, very polite, they explain things nicely and are super professional. Huge points for that.

This hotel is a former bank with a ton of potential and good idea of the Art Gallery theme--Yet after a day one is overwhelmed by the number of art pieces everywhere - And the absence of recognition of the hotel's bank past---ie the vault (now fitness center) is painted over - The beds need new mattresses - too soft - The electricity in the room needs to be brought up to code - Overwhelmed by the number of cameras--too much surveillance 5+ cameras in the lobby - The number of art pieces is overwhelming & kitchy - The carpetting in the room was stained - Sales items were everywhere - No business center - Gym needs upgrade -- highest weight was 8lbs

Exceptional location in Old Montreal, short walk to Notre Dame basilica, the river, restaurants and shops . We had a nice room at a reasonable price. The bathroom was nicely updated. Staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast of two croissants (butter or chocolate), coffee and orange juice was fresh and more than satisfactory for us.

This place is more like a 2-star motel than a hotel, and I really doubt it'll get good reviews. They used a bunch of old furniture and cheap art to try and make it look fancy, but honestly, it's just garbage. There's no parking here, but you can walk 30 seconds to a public lot for $24 a day. And for breakfast, you can't just grab what you want; you have to ask the receptionist or bartender, and they only have a few drinks and some bread. Wouldn't recommend it.
