It is a beautiful old house that has been perfectly remodeled. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and comfortable. The bedding was comfortable with enough pillows to choose from, and there were enough available space for luggage to be stored out of the way.
I am not a big drinker, and wanted a glass of wine with my dinner, but was informed that that was not possible, even though there was an option for it on the menu. But that is the worst I can say about Old House Lodge. The wine I did order was absolutely amazing, and it meant I had wine for a few more evenings.

Location, secure parking
Bathrooms had sand in the sink and shower, no teaspoons for the coffee and tea in room, staff feel more comfortable chatting to Afrikaans guests and I don't speak afrikaans
