The layout of the property allows for privacy but also one can mix with other guests in the dining area. Food was great - we had dinner & breakfast. Andy & Penny were wonderful hosts and have a great team supporting them

Excellent breakfast. We also had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. A magical place. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the plunge pool very welcome. The staff were attentive and the hosts took trouble to chat with all the guests. The views and location were unexpectedly stunning. Lovely stuff in the shop too.

Menu communicated as to dietary requirements prior to arrival, was different to what was served at dinner, despite checking with person communicating via Booking.com and Whats'App. My partner did not eat his main meal, and I settled with the interpretation of a different meal I was served. The menu advertised on the table was different to the meal served, and waitrons had no idea how to deal with the situation. The roast lamb on menu was a pulled fatty lamb on a a bed of risotto-like barley and a recipe for disaster, and we requested it be removed as the smell was unpleasant, and somewhat overpowering. No interventions or suggestions as to a replacement main meal or apology, and the staff disappeared. We ended up sharing one dinner, as I was also unable to eat the meat I was served, and so as not to spoil our vacation mood, or the mood of other guests, and we left disappointed and hungry. Dessert stodgy and more than likely a boxed frozen dessert as particles frozen. Value for dinner, 2/10 and the 2 awarded for the starter. I raised when settling the bill upon departure, and full amount charged for 2 X 3 course dinners, and again receptionist sorting bill unable to resolve or offer a compromise and I was advised a lack of communication between the various stakeholders. So, 1 dinner shared and meat fatty, 1 returned meal, 2 starters and 2 half eaten desserts. definitely not worth the amount charged for the 2 X 3 course meals. A suggestion that training be provided to waitrons and clear communication channels between the various team members and that communiqué and feedback from guests to be taken into consideration as per dietary requirements, so that it is not just a tick box exercise.
