About this apartment rental

Very close to South Kensington tube and easy walking distance to Knightsbridge, this imposing Period building has a large living room with separate dining area, located adjacent to the kitchen. Down several stairs at entrance at front but when inside the flat its ground floor level overlooking rear garden The drawing room has French doors out to the rear patio, is furnished with great style having some antiques, new quality carpets, feature fireplace, entrance hall, beautiful master bedroom with queen sized bed, with full en-suite bathroom, having bath with shower over, vanity wash hand basin and W.C. All fully tiled and with marble basin. The second bedroom has a twin bed. There is a separate shower room/W.C and marble wash hand basin. There is a very well equipped fully fitted kitchen which has washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, cooker, utensils etc. Designer soft furnishings.

Just a few minutes walk away is the South Kensington Tube station, so you can easily reach all the top spots in central London on the Underground or on London's classic red double-decker buses.

CHECK IN PROCEDURE:
Please note that whilst official check in is 1pm, we will try to let you check in before 13:00 should you arrive on an early flight. However, i this depends on whether previous guests are leaving that day so a same day changeover. We always do our best to ensure guests have a stress free check in and as little delay as possible. Once we have your full flight/Arrival information, then we will be able to confirm check in arrangements.

Check in times vary between 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday and only when we have your full flight/arrival information can we make check in arrangements. Outside of these hours or weekends, we will need to book our taxi service with key delivery.



OUT OF HOURS ARRIVALS Guests arriving outside normal office hours and weekends should be aware that the taxi transfer service is necessary, so that keys can be provided to the driver in advance, when our office is closed and the driver will ensure youi get into the apartment. The reduced rateTaxi service costs can be provided, depending on the arrival airport and how many people in the party

The taxi is totally NON profit making by us. We organize it for the comfort and security of guests arriving off a long flight and getting into central London. They are met inside the arrivals hall at the airport, helped to the cab and taken directly to the flat. We give the driver the key so there is no waiting around. We use a Licensed London taxi driver in the official London black cab (not necessarily actually black in colour) he is vetted and bonded by Metropolitan Police and is fully insured. The guests do not have to worry about finding the correct address and flat, wandering around the street with heavy luggage and they go straight in – no delays. The driver we use is very experienced, all our guests love him and ask him to take them back too because of the comfort and pleasant way to travel they experienced on arrival. However the return journey is totally up to the individual guests

If guests are not arriving by air but by car or train, whether it be internal or Eurostar, outside normal hours, we will arrange a personal out of hours meet and greet which is at a rate of £60 during the week ( Mon - Fri) until 17:00. Please discuss this with us when making your reservation. We will always try to help where we can.

Eurostar and other train arrivals: Please make sure that the train is scheduled to arrive at the London station terminus they arrive at before 1.30pm latest. This will give you the time to exit the station – this can be very slow – and there can be queues for taxis. Our aim is to ensure guests arrive stress free. During out of office hours and weekends, based on the distance between the Train station and the property we will arrange a private taxi service where the driver meets you personally and holds the keys for your apartment and check you in. The rate for this is £85.

IMPORTANT:
Sadly, occasionally guests do not give the correct information as to who and how many people will be staying in the apartment. In the UK there are strict regulations in respect of maximum occupancy levels. Therefore, please ensure that you provide the names of everyone in your group, and where there are children, please provide their ages. We reserve the right to refuse check in if the number of guests arriving exceeds the number booked.

We will ask our staff to follow and carry out full and safe hand washing, as well as cough and sneeze transmission protection
We will disinfect all keys prior to passing keys to guests.

We will be ready to assist our guests in a contact-free manner.
We will continue to remind all our guests of good hygiene practices.

Wonderful property. Apartment was stylish and comfortable and perfectly located to get anywhere in London (one block away from South Kensington Station). Added benefit, tons of restaurants, shops and Museums at your doorstep. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

What we loved: Amazing location near a tube stop and with museums and restaurants nearby. Nice layout and space. Totally functional for our needs. What we didn't love: 1. The property management company makes it very difficult to check in at any time that is within "normal" office hours. While it is specified in the listing, it is hard to understand. Basically, you have a 2 hour window in which to complete the check-in process on any given day (between 1 and 3 PM). If before 1 PM, it is a special request. If after 3 PM (the usual time for every VRBO I have ever stayed in), this is "outside" office hours. Expect to pay an additional 50-90 pounds to check in. We have stayed in many VRBO across the US and in France and the UK and never had this experience before. 2. We felt it was not as nice as the pictures. The furnishings are nice, but the overall condition of the place is not as good in person as it looks in the pics. It was fine but didn't match our expectations. 3. The garden area just wasn't usable for us- it is overgrown with a plant loved by honey bees and there were hundreds of them during the day, making it difficult to share the space (especially for the kids/teens in our group). The garden area is also shared with the apartment upstairs. So, overall, this place was just "OK" for us. Your experience may vary depending on your needs and expectations.
