Nice and cozy!

Great location, clean, comfortable and friendly people.

The only downside for me was the check-in time, which was a bit later than I'm used to. However, I was able to leave my bags there and explore the town until check-in time, which was very helpful.

Great host and hostel

Berna was really friendly and helpful and clearly works hard to look after her guests. The highlight for me was the free beach dance / yoga that she told me about. Hostel has lots of character and all you need.

I couldn't get my phone charger working, but I never asked how to resolve so no criticism of Berna.

Had a nice stay chez Berna. Both the room and the shared bathroom were very clean. Super convenient to walk to the port to take the ferry or to the city center. Berna was very pleasant too !

Host is very welcoming with unique and nice smile :) the room was clean and looks like someone put a lot of effort to make it cosy! If I ever come back to Denia, this is the place im going to sleep!

you can only check in at 8pm and they charge you an extra 5€ for early check in and 5€ to store your luggage. you also have to give the owner a 20€ cash deposit for no reason when u get there.

Location only.

We arrived at 2 30pm and were not suppose to Check in untilt 8pm. I didn't scrutinise the booking confirmation, as who normally can't check in at 2.30 pm anywhere?. The room was ready but owner made a fuss about it may not be ready when we actually arrived. After argy - bargy she let us in for an additional €5 charge for checking in early. Even though I'd already paid €75 through booking .com I still had to pay a € 20 returnable deposit, aswell as the €5 charge We are a normal middle-aged clean looking couple. I don't look like I'm going to destroy a hotel room . So, we are now in the front door. The wooden stairs to the room are purpose made, are as steep and as NARROW as a boat. Carrying small luggage up it was difficult, and if you are wider than 50cm you might have no chance. The bed was 20 cm off the floor and the mattress was the cause of a sensitive back in the morning. The air con was a fan ONLY. I did get deposit back but total cost was €80. For that and a bit more I should have gone elsewhere. I travel quite a lot and this is probably my 25th place of accomodation this year alone. Normally I don't care that much, as long as there is a clean bed and a shower ( which this had), but in this case the other bits were too negative not to mention. Happy travels everyone.

The staff was super nice and friendly, ready to help. The room and the bathroom were clean and private. I had my own peace, I only stayed one night, I could sleep very well, there was no noise, the place is comfortable.

Disappointing - overpriced and ill-equipped in the dorms. Owner should retire/return to Bruxelles!

The location was good - not far to beach and close to supermarket. Plenty of cafes/restaurants nearby. Kitchen was clean and well equipped

The owner was not accessible in the morning to check out. A fellow guest had to phone her up and when she arrived it was as if she knew nothing about why she was asked to come down. No air-con for the price - I had to have the owner bring me a 2nd fan for the room as it was stifling hot. You were not able to check into the homestay until 8pm at night! I've never come across such a ridiculous situation! I had to hang around downtown for a day with my baggage. The night before I left she accused me of stealing her beer from the fridge. I hope she accused all the other guests as well because I didn't take it! No regular lockers - I had to request she get me a locker that turned out to be a cupboard with a lock on it outside the room. Also the urinal in a public place is not appreciated - get rid of it! Really a grossly overpriced ($25+per night) amateurish set-up that was not friendly like earlier reviews. Bring back the old YHA hostel that used to be in Denia but has now been regrettably closed

Very good value for money. Berna is charming and lovely My small double room was very clean and bed comfortable. Shared bathroom was very clean and beautiful stonework. Excellent location, right in the centre but not affected by noise from any street.

Only one bathroom. No clothes space. I had small suitcase so not an issue. Fan didn't appear to work but I didn't mention this to Berna so maybe I wasn't using it properly. Room was cool due to stone walls. Room was a little noisy when people stayed up to talk. An issue with Doors, all a little sticky when trying to open.

I could not imagine a better place to stay. Very good location, it has an amazing an a very authentic vibe, a true home away from home. The beds are very comfortable and it's easy to reach where you want. Highly recommended.

Calor extremo y muebles y colchón sacados del reciclaje de la basura

La único bueno la ubicación

Fatal, calor insoportable en las habitaciones. Limpian el suelo, pero frigo sucio, colchones sucios y de hace 40 añis. La casa tiene elementos reciclados pero que parecen sacados de un vertedero. Cuarto de baño compartido. Al lado una habitación enana con varias literas que parecía una patera. Al principio nos dió miedo quedarnos.

Perfecto para pasar la noche

En pleno centro de Dènia, nos permite acceder a lo que sería una antigua casa de pueblo pegada a la muralla. Adaptado y reformado con una decoraciòn de estilo hippie eclèctico encantador. Una maravilla. Las camas súper cómodas, incluso siendo litera no se notaba el movimiento de la otra persona. Tanto baños como habitaciones muy limpios. Pese a ser pleno verano no pasamos nada de calor. La atención de Bernardine fue impecable.
