Very comfortable and spacious lodge with nice serene surroundings.

Great location very helpful staff the two scheduled afternoon shoppjng runs were a nice bonus. Amy and Asano San (sp?) were very helpful and friendly. We arrived earlier than expected and were allowed to check in, perhaps because it wasn’t very busy. Proximity to a hotel Onsen with a discount was a favorite activity. Our apartment was very spacious by our Japanese travel standards. A free shuttle service across the street services all the ski resorts, and you could walk to Happo One in 15 min if you felt like it.

The hot water for the shower doesn’t last long and can suddenly go cold but that could be due to the high water pressure (excellent) and my wife’s long showers. The mattresses were also quite hard.

Location to Happo 1 was good.

The beds were quite thing, could feel springs. The walls were thin too so noisy. For a family of four with children probably not enough room to relax/ read a book. If you’re planning to stay out all day and night it’s fine, but not a place to relax in.
