About this cottage rental
A characterful stone cottage just a 4-minute walk from beautiful Broad Haven beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, it’s made for relaxed coastal stays with family and friends. Enjoy sea views, a cosy woodburner, private garden with BBQ and a large shared garden with space to play. Dog-friendly too, with Broad Haven’s pubs, cafés and shops an easy stroll away. Professionally hosted by Salt & City Stays.
The Space:
No. 8 Millmoor Farm Cottage is a characterful stone cottage made for easy-going stays by the sea, with plenty of space for families and friends to relax together.
Step inside and you’ll find a spacious kitchen and dining area at the heart of the cottage. The Rangemaster oven and induction hob, Smeg fridge, dishwasher, microwave and well-equipped kitchen make everything from quick breakfasts to big family dinners easy. Gather around the large dining table, or open the **bi-fold doors** to bring the outside in and spill out into the garden for long lunches, BBQs and drinks in the sunshine.
After a day exploring, the cosy sitting room is the place to slow down. Sink into the large sofas, light the woodburner and settle in for the evening. There’s a TV with Amazon Prime Video, Xbox 360, books and board games for quieter nights at home.
Upstairs, the cottage sleeps up to six guests across three comfortable bedrooms – two doubles and one twin – making it a great setup for families, couples or friends travelling together.
There are also two bathrooms, including a family bathroom with a bath and shower over, plus a separate shower room – particularly handy when six guests are getting ready for the day.
Outside, you’ll have your own private, fully fenced garden with lawn, patio, outdoor furniture, picnic bench and BBQ. There’s also access to a much larger shared garden, with lovely views and plenty of room for children to run around and play.
One of the best things about staying here is how much you can do without getting back in the car. Wander down to the sand for a morning swim, head out along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, grab something to eat or drink in the village, or stroll back to the beach as the sun goes down. Broad Haven’s pubs, cafés, shops and surf hire are all close at hand.
Two well-behaved dogs are very welcome, so four-legged family members can come along for the adventure too.
Your stay is looked after by **Salt & City Stays**, a local Pembrokeshire team who know the area and are here if you need us – from pre-arrival questions to local recommendations during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have private use of the entire cottage throughout their stay, including all three bedrooms, both bathrooms, the kitchen/diner, sitting room and private fully fenced garden.
There is off-road parking for two cars directly at the property, so arriving and unloading is easy.
You’ll also have access to the large communal garden shared with the neighbouring Millmoor cottages – a lovely open space with sea views and plenty of room for children to play.
The cottage is self check-in, with keys available from a lockbox, so you can arrive at your own pace. Full arrival and access details will be shared with you before your stay.
Once you’re settled in, there’s little need to use the car – the beach, village amenities and Pembrokeshire Coast Path can all be reached easily on foot.
The Neighborhood:
Broad Haven is a relaxed seaside village on Pembrokeshire’s beautiful west coast, centred around a long sandy beach that’s popular with families, swimmers, surfers and paddleboarders.
Neighbouring Little Haven is well worth a visit – a picturesque fishing village tucked around a small cove, with welcoming pubs and places to eat. You can walk there along the coast or beach when conditions allow.
For days out, explore St Davids and its magnificent cathedral, discover the harbour and independent shops of Solva, or head south towards Pembroke and its impressive medieval castle.
Pembrokeshire is made for exploring, with secluded coves, wildlife-rich coastline, pretty harbour villages and some of Wales’ most spectacular beaches all within reach.
Getting Around:
Broad Haven is easy to explore on foot, so once you’ve arrived you can happily leave the car at the cottage for much of your stay. The beach, village amenities and access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are all within walking distance.
There is private off-road parking for two cars at the cottage, with public EV charging available in the nearby car park.
A car is useful for exploring more of Pembrokeshire, particularly its smaller beaches, coastal villages and attractions. St Davids, Solva, Pembroke and the wider coastline are all within easy reach for days out.
For walkers, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path also provides a wonderful way to explore directly from Broad Haven, with routes linking the village to neighbouring coastal communities.
Other Things to Note:
A few useful things to know before you book:
• The cottage is part of a small collection of neighbouring cottages. You’ll have your own private, fully fenced garden, as well as access to a larger communal garden shared with the other cottages.
• Up to two well-behaved dogs are very welcome. One dog stays free of charge, and an additional dog can stay for a £35 fee.
• The woodburner is available for guests to enjoy. Logs can be purchased locally from the Londis in Broad Haven.
• There is parking for two cars at the property. If you’re travelling with an electric vehicle, public EV charging is available in the car park nearby.
• The Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined within a few minutes on foot, making this a particularly lovely base if walking and exploring the coastline is part of your stay.
• As this is a traditional stone cottage, you can expect some of the character and quirks that come with an older property.
Interaction with Guests:
We want your arrival to feel simple and stress-free. The Salt & City Stays team will look after you in the lead-up to your stay, making sure you have everything you need for a smooth arrival and check-in.
Once you’re settled into the cottage, your host Mary will be your point of contact during your stay should you need any help.
Otherwise, the cottage is yours to enjoy in complete privacy – settle in, switch off and enjoy your time in Broad Haven at your own pace.
