Great beach location, well-equipped and spacious house, just needs some TLC

Great location, close to the beach, bonus to have onsite parking, house was well equipped, spacious, beds comfy and nice modern bathrooms.

Unfortunately the house needed some TLC, i.e last 2 steps on the stairs were broken, dishwasher handle kept falling off, 3rd bedroom window didn’t open, ripped sofa in places, no pole to open velux window in en-suite, crumbling paintwork in places, courtyard needed some care-sweeping/weeding and living room needed more lighting.

Self catering but the welcome pack was appreciated.

Wasn't keen on the bathroom having doors from each double bedroom - I just didn't pick up on that from the listing, my bad probably. Also the small room with the bunkbeds had to use the bathroom downstairs. However, its all very clean and nice and warm etc.

All in all this was the best short break holiday we have taken in a long time.

A great location within Broad Haven. Just across the quiet lane outside the house is a lovely nature reserve around a small lake with bird hides and a circular walk with sections of boardwalk over the wetter sections. It was rich in wildlife and pleasing visually. The beach is a 5 minute walk down the quiet road and one end of it allows dogs even in the summer months. We were self catering so the nearby Grocery store provided us with all our needs. We had a meal at the local pub called the Galleon on our first night which was fine. You can sit in or outside the pub and look straight out at the beach and see distant islands and the coastal cliffs to the north and south which curve round to enclose St Brides Bay. Half an hour's drive away is the city of St Davids; its city status is conferred by its cathedral which was built around 800 years ago and it is well worth a visit together with the adjacent Bishops Palace. We stopped at Nolton Haven on the way back and enjoyed a beer sitting outside The Mariners Arms which has great views out over the sandy cove. The accommodation was lovely and very spacious for just the two of us with our two terriers. The large kitchen had everything you need. The bed in the main bedroom was most comfortable and a good night's sleep was never in doubt. This had direct to main main bathroom but we also found the downstairs bathroom very useful. Lounge and dining area were well furnished and very spacious. We were happy eating in on our second and third nights. The sun got into the rear patio area in the morning and it was pleasant to sit out there whilst planning our day's activities. We only had a three night stay which was never enough and we plan to go back.

A couple of extra lights in the lounge / dining area would be welcome

Just perfect - This place is highly recommended

This is an excellent location, a quick walk from Broad Haven beach and the town center and yet a very peaceful place. The property is just across 'Slash Pond' - a delightful place to walk and listen to the birds The property is VERY well equipped for cooking Martin's Haven is a short drive from here if you are looking to go on short cruises If you are looking to visit the beach, look no further
