About this house rental
Unwind at this unique round cabin perched above the Spring River, just 5 minutes from Sunriver Village and 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. Enjoy sweeping 180-degree river views, two levels of decking, a hot tub and private dock. Explore nearby hiking and biking, with kayaks, a SUP, canoe and bikes available in summer. Well stocked with all the comforts of home, this peaceful riverfront oasis is perfect for adventure and relaxation. One dog welcome; $99 pet fee.
The space
This is a renovated, very cool 1972, 2 story round cabin located on the Spring River! The home has been fully updated but still keeps its groovy 1970's vibe! Because of the round architecture the upstairs bedroom's walls do not extend all the way up to the ceiling. Plenty of privacy but not completely sound proof. The downstairs bedroom would be better for light sleepers. There is a separate "little house" that has a TV, wifi, futon, and bikes. This is perfect for additional hangout space or even a private office space away from the main home.
The home is perched above the river which gives it gorgeous views. It has a path down to the dock and river.
Guest access
Guests are allowed full access to the property. This includes the “little house” on the property.
Other things to note
This home is an excellent choice for access to Mt. Bachelor and all the high lakes! Skiing, Hiking and mountain biking are located out the front door or enjoy quick access to the main road which will take you up the mountain to Mt. Bachelor and the high lakes (high lakes only during summer months). Depending on weather it is about 20-25 minutes. This road has much less traffic than the Bend route making it easy to get first tracks in the morning and home quickly after a long day of hiking, biking, skiing or snow sports.
The Spring River connects with the Big Deschutes about 1 mile or 15 minutes down river and progressively gets deeper the further you go. Currents do pick up as the Spring River starts to meet The Big Deschutes river. The Spring River empty’s out close to the airport in Sunriver. It's an absolutely beautiful float and easy to go down river a ways and come back to the home without having to fight currents or arrange for pickup somewhere else. Water levels are seasonal. Generally Memorial Day to Labor Day the river is at its deepest. Although always navigable by kayak, it may not be deep enough for swimming, particularly after Labor Day. All water sports and play are at the guests own risk. Children and pets are required to be supervised at all times.
