Your private lower-level DC studio gives you your own rear entrance, private bathroom and living space, plus one reserved free off-street parking space just steps from your door. Inside, settle into a comfortable queen bed, put on a record, stream your favorites on the Smart TV, work with fast Wi-Fi or prepare something in the kitchenette. The studio also includes a queen-size sofa bed and your own washer + dryer.

A pedestrian bridge across the street leads into the park, with walking and biking paths and the lake approximately 200 yards from the bridge. Capital Bikeshare + scooters are nearby, a bus stop is at the end of the block, and Metro rail is approximately 1 mile away. You'll also have convenient access to Navy Yard, Capitol Hill, Nationals Park, The Wharf and other Washington, DC attractions.

★ The Neighborhood ★
RAP Creative House is located in DC’s Anacostia Arts District, an area deeply connected to the city’s Go-Go music, art + creative culture. Nearby you'll find local coffee shops, restaurants, creative spaces + cultural attractions. This is an established Southeast DC residential community that continues to grow and develop, with a mix of longtime residents and homes, renovated properties, new businesses + ongoing development. As the neighborhood continues to evolve, you'll see a mix of newly improved areas and blocks that are still in transition. We encourage guests to explore the map + previous guest reviews for additional perspectives on the neighborhood and location.
One of our favorite parts of the area is what's right outside: a park, track + playground across the street, Capital Bikeshare + scooters nearby, and a pedestrian pathway through the park approximately 200 yards to the lake.
★ Arriving by Car ★
Construction and GPS routing can sometimes make arrival confusing, so we strongly recommend following the RAP arrival instructions provided before check-in.
Your RAP App Digital Concierge will provide the recommended route, directions to the rear alley, your reserved parking space + private entrance.
You'll have one reserved FREE off-street parking space behind the house, just steps from your studio entrance.
★ Private Lower-Level Studio ★
This listing is a private lower-level/basement creative studio, not the entire house. Your studio, bathroom, kitchenette, washer + dryer and rear entrance are completely private. There are no shared indoor guest spaces. As a lower-level space, the studio naturally receives less daylight than an above-ground apartment. Blackout window coverings are provided for comfortable sleeping.
★ Separate Residence Above ★
A completely separate residence sits above the studio. As with many DC rowhomes, you may occasionally hear normal footsteps or household movement from above. Quiet hours begin at 10 PM, and guests in both spaces are asked to be considerate of one another. A white-noise machine is provided for additional comfort.
★ Heating + Cooling ★
The studio uses central HVAC and has no separate thermostat. If you'd like the temperature adjusted during your stay, simply message us and we'll respond as quickly as possible.
★ Shared Backyard Retreat ★
Your indoor studio is completely private, while the backyard is a shared guest amenity. Enjoy the furnished patio, fire pit, BBQ grill + outdoor lounge space. When the separate residence above is occupied, those guests may also enjoy the backyard. Please respect our neighbors, other guests + 10 PM quiet hours while enjoying the outdoor space.
★ Cleanliness + Support ★
The studio is thoroughly cleaned and prepared between reservations with fresh bedding + towels. If anything isn't clean, comfortable or working as expected when you arrive—or something comes up during your stay—please message us right away so we have the opportunity to take care of it while you're here.
★ Security + House Rules ★
Exterior security cameras monitor outdoor areas of the property for security. There are no cameras inside your private studio. Parties, disruptive events + indoor smoking are not permitted. Quiet hours begin at 10 PM.
