Welcome to Casa Marea, a stylish 2 bedroom beachfront condo in Playa Encuentro on the Dominican Republic’s beautiful North Coast. Located inside The Wave, a gated beachfront community, this ground floor condo is minutes from world class surfing, Kite Beach, Cabarete, cafés, restaurants, and wellness spots.
Casa Marea features a bright open concept kitchen, dining, and living area designed for comfortable beachside living. The spacious primary suite includes a king bed, private ensuite bathroom, and sliding doors opening directly onto the private patio. The second bedroom features a bunk bed, additional single bed, and private ensuite bathroom. The condo also includes a half bathroom and laundry room with washer and dryer.
Guests enjoy high speed Starlink Wi Fi, three separate air conditioning units, convenient ground floor access, a private patio accessible from both the living room and primary bedroom, and complimentary access to The Wave’s onsite gym. Gym access and future fees are determined by the community and may change.
Playa Encuentro, one of the Caribbean’s premier surfing destinations, is approximately 2 minutes away. Kite Beach is about 5 minutes away, Cabarete Beach 8 minutes, Playa Sosúa 15 minutes, Playa Alicia 18 minutes, and Puerto Plata International Airport approximately 20 to 25 minutes by car. Supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, surf shops, and local services are also nearby.
Electricity is not included and is charged at 15DOP per kWh based on actual consumption. Meter photos are shared at check in and checkout for transparency. Payment may be made in Dominican pesos, U.S. dollars, or through the booking platform.
The Wave’s onsite restaurant space is complete but is not yet open, and no official opening date has been announced.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the property or near open doors. Smoking and vaping are permitted outside. Please keep all doors and windows closed while smoking or vaping to prevent smoke from entering the property.
Your stay includes 30 kWh of electricity per night. Any usage above the included amount will be charged at 17 DOP per kWh and is payable at checkout. Payment can be made in USD, DOP, or by credit card. Credit card payments are subject to a 5.5% processing charge.
Please be mindful of electricity use during your stay. Air conditioners and pool pumps are major power draws. To help conserve energy and keep electricity usage within the included allowance, we recommend turning off air conditioners when leaving the property or when a room will be unoccupied for more than 30 minutes. The air conditioners are very efficient and can cool the rooms again within just a few minutes after being turned back on.
Please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise at a reasonable level, particularly during the evening and early morning.
Parties, events, and large gatherings are not permitted unless specifically approved in advance.
At checkout, please place all garbage in the designated garbage bins outside the property and ensure all lights and air conditioners are turned off before departing.
Check out is at 10:00 AM. Late checkouts must be approved in advance and may incur an additional charge.
