Imagine a private rooftop that is yours alone: a private heated jacuzzi for eight, the ocean ahead and the sun going down. Altamar is a 2,800 sq ft penthouse for up to eight, newly finished in 2026, in a gated community with 24/7 security between Cabarete and Sosúa. Mornings begin on your own balcony, afternoons drift by under the pergola, and dinner comes off the rooftop grill. Surfing and kitesurfing wait at Encuentro Beach, a 10 minute walk. Stay a week or a month, at our preferred rates.
The Rooftop
This is where the days are spent. A timber and bamboo pergola shades a lounge with a 65-inch Google TV, rain or shine. Lunch stretches out at a teak table for eight with the ocean in view, the outdoor kitchen's gas grill and ice maker make dinner easy, and rope swings line the bar for sunset drinks. Padded loungers, string lights after dark, and the ocean in front of the jacuzzi. Nothing is shared and no one is overhead.
Inside
Calm, light-filled rooms in oak, linen and natural textures. The living room has a 55-inch Samsung Frame TV and a queen sofa bed, and the oak dining table seats eight beside the balcony doors. Cook properly in a kitchen with a six-burner gas stove, oven, dishwasher, two Moka pots and a coffee maker, and pack light: there's a new Samsung washer and dryer.
Where You Sleep
The main suite has a king bed, a smart TV and its own balcony. The second bedroom pairs a queen bed with a loft of two twin beds, a favorite with kids and comfortable for adults, plus a smart TV and its own balcony. Both have blackout curtains, and there are two bathrooms. With the living and dining balconies, that's four private balconies in all.
Beyond the Penthouse
Guests share the community's resort-style pool and gym. A free shuttle runs to Sosúa and Cabarete for beaches, restaurants and nightlife, to Casa Linda for its waterpark, tennis and mini golf, and to the supermarkets. Our concierge can arrange a private chef for a rooftop dinner, airport transfers, a driver for the week, or a boat and driver for a day at Cayo Arena.

Air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms, an inverter and generator for power cuts, an elevator to your door, a private parking space and self check-in, all inside a gated community.
Good to Know
Altamar is newly completed, in a community finishing its final stages of development. The rooftop, jacuzzi, kitchen, pool and gym are all fully working, and you may hear light daytime construction elsewhere in the community. Pets aren't allowed.
Location
Playa Encuentro, one of the North Coast's best-known surf beaches, is a 10 to 15 minute walk. Cabarete is about 10 minutes east by car, and Sosúa a short drive west. Surf at dawn, cook together at dusk, or do nothing at all. Altamar is made for all of it.
