Bed bugs infested bed ruined my stay

Place didn’t look to bad at first glance.

I booked this place for 5 nights, but after the third night I discovered my bed was infested with bedbugs. My legs were itchy and I took close-up photos of the bugs. The landlord left €100 as compensation but couldn’t offer another room since the property was fully booked. I had no choice but to book another place at €244 per night. Just the thought of sleeping in a bedbug-infested bed is revolting. This has never happened to me before, and it completely ruined my stay. Avoid this accommodation. Be warned.

I think the house needs some renovation. For example, the cupboard where the trash bin was kept was broken, so we couldn’t use the trash bin at all. The rod holding the curtain was broken. We couldn’t open the shutter of the largest window in the house, I don’t know why. The bathroom and toilet were so small that it was honestly impossible to move around. The pillows were terrible, so I’m returning from vacation with neck pain.

Keep information in english not just french, also when calling on phone.

Information told me to taka a bus from terminal. I waited for 3 hours for the right number of bus but found out later it was another number of bus. I ended up taking a taxi, expensive to this location. after I arrive at the house I tried to find out the info to go into the right hallway, Called i.e. the phonenumber and all info whether written or on the phone were in french. I tried to have the pub people downstairs on the corner translate for me and nobody would help me until a girl with a baby finally came to my rescue. She was very nice and the only one after an hour asking and calling helped so I finally got into the flat on second floor. soI am Icelandic and speak few languages but not french so I really needed the right information either in English, german, danish swedish

Pleasant stay for travelling along the French Riviera

The room was perfect for us as a couple. We were a little worried after reaching some awful reviews but we had a very pleasant stay. Room was spacious, with room for a couple plus our large bags. The kitchen was small but functional. Bathroom was adequately spacious for our needs. And the location was just perfect, a 1 min walk to the beach and less than 10 minutes to Cros-De-Cagnes which easily took us up and down the French Riviera for our stay.

Located on the ground floor next to the bar, there was some noise than filtered through, but nothing that interrupted our sleep. The room was fairly clean, however some hairs on the doona and a stain on the coverlet.

Good position, next to the sea and next to the train station Cros de Cagnes

Toilet very, very small; it is true that you don't spend much time in there, but it was challenging entering in the shower, which by the way, was having issues with the hot water, which was lasting for just a couple of minutes and then cold water ... Other point which I didn't appreciate: coffee machine with no coffee and when I asked the owner, his answer was very rude: I am not a hotel. I even messaged him upon my arrival asking for some infos, never got an answer ... I really didn't enjoy this part at all!!!

I don’t think I’m ever staying there again

The only good thing about the room is the location, is right on the beach. Cagnes su Mer is a lovely area 15 minutes away from nice filled withe restaurants and nice cafes

First of all the host is rude. Second of all the room description said that he had views to the sea, but my room was on the ground floor, and he didn’t have any views until my views wear to a wall. That’s not even the worst part my room didn’t have a closet or a place where I could put all my clothes literally; and sleep was impossible. I literally had to sleep with headphones on because the main pipe runs through the room so whenever someone is showering on the floors upstairs, you can hear the water running through the pipe as if you were in the bathroom with them.

The information provided by the owner on Booking.com about free parking is incorrect. Information about parking restrictions is provided on paper ONLY in French, taped to a temporary pole that was knocked down upon arrival and we did not see these restrictions. The police towed the car, which cost us a lot. Access to the room is difficult because the front door often gets stuck.

Very nice apartment at the beach

The 1 room apartment was very nice. It was top clean, including all dishes. This concerned us a bit before booking because we had read that the dishes had been rather dirty once or twice. But maybe this had happened before that the hosts missed that guests left things like pigs.. It happens. Everything was perfectly clean when we arrived. The bed is comfortable. The fridge not too loud. And the bar and enjoyments in front of the house are silent after midnight. The windows keep the sounds quiet too. What's absolutely fantastic is the close proximity to the beach (1-2 min)!!! The beach is stony as in Nice, so swimming shoes are recommended. Tipp: Visit Antibes for a sandy beach day! Walk from the train station Cros de Cagnes less than 10 min. Bus station to Nice, Cannes, Grasse and Antibes 5 min. Velo bleu rental 1 min. Supermarket, bakery, etc very close.

Room assigned on ground floor during a carnival period. It was very noisy till night. Room size was a bit below expected. No basic facilities like iron. Room lock keys were tricky. Host not responded to messages due to which giving a point less .

Fake pictures, not hot water, no heating, very dirty

The fake pictures in the Booking advert, making you think you're going to a different place (spoiler alert, you end up in a much worse rat house)

HOT WATER DOESN'T WORK, so we had really cold showers every day. If it was summer, fair enough but it's not, and it's a basic requirement for an apartment to have. We contacted the owner and didn't help at all, he kept saying that the hot water worked, but he couldn't know, he never came to fix it or visit the apartment, he was extremely unhelpful and frustrating to talk to. On top of that, the place was really dirty (see pictures) even the bed sheets were dirty, and the pictures in the advert did not correspond with the real apartment. Overall pretty bad experience with this apartment as we had to spend part of our holidays dealing with the issue; calling the owner and Booking and neither would help.

We would look elsewhere next time

The apartment was clean and has recently been renovated. The location is excellent being close to the centre, the beach and the train station.

It is too small - you can literally sit on the edge of the bed, take food from the fridge and put it in the microwave without moving ! The sink in the bathroom is unusable other than to wash your hands. The kitchen is not at all well equipped - No toaster No kettle No dishes or bowls No tin opener No wooden spoon No scissors The towel rail in the bathroom does not work either. We were also confused as we had paid Booking.com the invoice which included city tax but we were then asked to leave further cash on the table when we left ?

The bathroom is so small that you literally can’t turn around in it - when you’re sitting on the WC your nose is in the sink. The host asked is to leave €4.80 in cash on the table when we left for the tourist tax but on the invoice we saw we had already been charged for this. No free parking, contrary to the description

the room was very small and hot. the air conditioner would not change temperature. the staff are rude and my car got towed while in the lot. they refused to reimburse me .
