Villa L'Escapade: an exceptional, spacious winemaker’s home offering a unique and upscale getaway in the heart of the Loire Valley. Ideal for reuniting families and groups of friends (10 to 13 guests), this charming property combines the elegance of a spacious vacation home with the uniqueness of a completely private cave-style wellness area, carved into the limestone rock, featuring a year-round heated pool and a large hot tub.Sleeping arrangements on the first floor: 2 double bedrooms, one of which has 2 single beds that can be combined into 1 double bed, and a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs: a triple bedroom and a double bedroom, a sleeping area with a single bed, and a bathroom with a toilet. A separate studio accommodates 3 people with one single bed on a mezzanine and one double bed on the first floor, along with a bathroom/WC.La ’s centerpiece is its tuffeau stone cellars. Step inside and discover a private and exclusive cave-style wellness area. Carved from the limestone typical of the Loire Valley, this relaxation area offers:• A year-round heated pool for swimming beneath the stone vaults.• A 5-person hot tub to soothe your muscles after a day of exploring castles.• A relaxation area and a comfortable shower to linger a little longer.• A game room with a bistro-style foosball table and darts. The property features two well-preserved outdoor areas:• Courtyard Side: An intimate, wind-sheltered inner courtyard, ideal for long summer meals around its large table and barbecue, not to mention the cozy coffee nook for a gentle start to the day.• Hillside or The Hanging Garden: Ascend to our exceptional garden on the hillside. A true landscaped gem featuring a carp pond with a small wooden bridge, a romantic gazebo, and lounge chairs to recharge. Hiking trails through the Vouvray wine region are right at your doorstep, starting directly from the garden gate. Absolute serenity awaits you from the moment you arrive: your beds will be made upon arrival, and linens and towels are provided. You’ll also find pool towels for the pool! To help you enjoy your time here without any worries, end-of-stay cleaning is fully taken care of. Take your time exploring the region and recharge your car right at the electric charging station available at the Villa.

We booked this home for a family trip, and it was EVEN BETTER than its description!No detail was spared when decorating and preparing the home for guests. Welcoming touches were everywhere. There were areas for the whole family to meet together AND enough space for individual quiet time. We were also pleasantly surprised by the well-appointed studio apartment that sleeps three above a separate building on site.During our time in France, we learned that AC is pretty uncommon. We didn't need to use it, but it is an option if you are staying during a particularly warm week.The home is situated in a cozy peaceful hillside neighborhood. There are also some GORGEOUS outdoor spaces, like a flower-filled courtyard with seating and a garden above the house with an amazing view of the city. The stars on a clear night are spectacular.The host is gracious and communicative. One representative met us at the house and gave us a tour of every space and control. Another met us for checkout... so much better than an impersonal mile-log email, text, or video.The only downside you need to be aware of is that all of this charm is outside of the town center. We were able to Uber everywhere, including having groceries delivered, but it would have been more convenient to have our own car.Our one regret is that we didn't spend more time there. Thank you for curating a wonderful experience!
