Down Cottage is a single-storey cottage with two bedrooms consisting of one double and one twin. There is a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, along with an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. There is underfloor heating via air source heat pumps, a Smart TV, and WiFi, with fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. Outside, there is off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture. Guests also have access to a shared external utility with a washing machine and tumble dryer, shared with Zeal Cottage. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but sorry, no smoking. A shop is within 2.8 miles and a pub is within 1.4 miles. Choose Down Cottage for an easy-going stay in a lovely rural setting. Note: Good housekeeping bond of 250GBP. Note: There is a stream nearby and the owners are installing a large pond on site, so children must be supervised. Note: Friday changeover, with check-in from three pm and check-out by ten am.

Town: A delightful, traditional village set between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks in rural mid-Devon. The mid-Devon location leaves you spoilt for choice with moors, beaches and stunning Devon countryside to explore. This peaceful village is a great spot for a relaxing holiday with its 16th century pub and convenient SPAR shop. Lapford is an ancient village at it's heart - its origins can be traced back to the Iron Age Celts and it was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Lapford's playing field provides a great open space for ball games and there is a childrens playground. Lapford train station offers access to the many nearby charming mid-Devon towns and villages. The cosmopolitan city of Exeter with its wonderful architecture lies within 30 minutes driving distance. The nearest well-stocked town is Crediton just 9 miles away and a 20 minute drive.
