Mechthild Vacation Rental (Ground Floor) - "Wiesental" Vacation Home

The 70-square-meter “Mechthild” vacation apartment is located on the first floor of our vacation home.
The apartment includes two parking spaces in front of the house, as well as a patio area with a large lawn behind the house.
A garage is available for storing bicycles.
Our “Mechthild” vacation apartment features a bathroom with natural light, a shower, and a bathtub, as well as two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a rollaway baby or children’s bed.
The living area, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, a cozy reclining couch, and a flat-screen TV, rounds out the apartment.
In addition to the standard kitchen amenities—including cutlery, dinnerware, coffee service, glasses, and various bowls, pots, and pans—the kitchen is equipped as follows:

• Electric kettle—Coffee maker—Microwave
• Kitchen towels


The furnished patio and lawn behind the house are accessible through the front door. There you’ll find an electric grill, which you’re welcome to use, as well as a swing for children.

Bed linens, hand towels, and bath towels are included in the rental price.
Smoking and pets are not allowed in the vacation rental.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge.



Welcome to Schillingen, a village with 1,300 residents in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park in southwestern Rhineland-Palatinate.
Our newly renovated, detached vacation home “Wiesental,” featuring a total of two vacation apartments, is located on the outskirts of Schillingen.
This modernly furnished vacation home, with its magnificent panoramic view of the Hochwald mountain ridges, invites you to relax and unwind.
The “Schillinger Panoramaweg” hiking trail and the Ruwer-Hochwald bike path are accessible directly from the vacation home.
The nearby Schillingen Recreation Center—featuring a forest lake, playground, barefoot trail, nature trail, maze, and bocce court on the edge of the Schillingen forest—offers activities for all ages.
The “Hochwald” outdoor pool is also just under a kilometer from Schillingen and can be easily reached on foot or by bike.
Schillingen also has excellent local amenities, including a bakery, a grocery store, a restaurant, three playgrounds, and sports facilities (soccer and tennis courts).

Thanks to the nearby connections to Federal Highways B 268 and B 407 (Hunsrückhöhenstraße) as well as the A1 highway, destinations such as Saarburg, Trier, Luxembourg, France, and destinations in the Saarland.

On-site costs: The price for the “Mechthild” vacation apartment (first floor) is 80.00 € per day and unit for up to 2 guests (including electricity, water, and final cleaning). Each additional person (up to a maximum of 4 people) costs an extra €20.00. The price for the “Edwin” vacation apartment (1st floor) is €70.00 per day and unit for up to 2 guests (including electricity, water, and final cleaning). Each additional person (up to a maximum of 3 people) costs an extra €20.00.



Check-in is possible from 3:00 to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
