Welcome to The Bee’s Knees — a design-forward retreat with Private plunge pool, fire table, speakeasy-style lounge & detached clubhouse — all just minutes from USC and downtown Columbia. This gives groups room to spread out, with 3 bedrooms in the main house plus additional sleeping space in the clubhouse.
Spend the afternoon by the pool, grill dinner outside, gather around the fire after dark, or retreat to the Hive Lounge for drinks, games and conversation.

The Hive Lounge
Step down into the home’s jewel box: a sunken, speakeasy-inspired cocktail lounge drenched floor-to-ceiling in deep green and warmed by an amber chandelier.
Settle into the tufted leather sofa or velvet accent chairs, turn on The Frame Smart TV, pour a drink, browse the books, or simply enjoy a room designed for conversation.
A curated bar, vintage pieces, layered lighting, and collected details make this one of the signature spaces at The Bee’s Knees.
The Living Room
Bright, comfortable, and relaxed, the main living room offers a counterpoint to the moodier lounge.
Cream leather seating, an olive tree, built-in shelving, and a Smart TV create an easy place to gather for morning coffee, a movie, or downtime between outings.
The Dining Room
At the center of the home, a live-edge dining table sits beneath a black honeycomb chandelier — a subtle nod to The Bee’s Knees and one of the home’s defining design moments.
Gather here for dinner, drinks, games, or a leisurely breakfast before heading out for the day.
The Kitchen
Bright and well-equipped for cooking meals at home, the kitchen features white cabinetry, granite counters, stainless-steel appliances, and a dedicated coffee and tea station.
A washer and dryer are also available on-site.

The main house has three bedrooms, each with its own distinct style.
Primary Bedroom
One queen bed with boutique-hotel styling, blackout window coverings, and a Smart TV.
Queen Guest Room
One queen bed with its own distinctive design, blackout window coverings, and a Smart TV.
Twin Guest Room
Two twin beds — ideal for friends, siblings, or guests who prefer separate sleeping spaces. A Smart TV and blackout window coverings are also included.
The Clubhouse
Just outside the main home is a detached clubhouse designed to give your group an entirely different place to gather.
Bright, playful, and a little unexpected, the clubhouse includes games, bar-height seating, a beverage cooler and sideboard, curated vintage decor, and plenty of room to hang out away from the main house.
A separate sleeping area includes a twin daybed with a twin pop-up trundle. The trundle raises to the same height as the daybed, allowing the two beds to be used separately or positioned together as a king-width sleeping surface.
There’s also a desk nook — a convenient spot for catching up on work, reading, or enjoying a little quiet time.
The clubhouse sleeping area is additional sleeping space and is not counted as one of the main home’s three bedrooms.

The Plunge Pool & Backyard
The private plunge pool was designed for lounging rather than laps. The pool reaches a maximum depth of approximately 4 feet and is intended for sitting, soaking, cooling off, and relaxing on warm South Carolina days. *Please note the pool is not heated.

The clubhouse provides additional sleeping accommodations but is a detached bonus space rather than a fourth bedroom in the main house.
The plunge pool is intentionally small and shallow. Guests expecting a traditional swimming pool should note that it is designed for lounging, soaking, and cooling off rather than swimming laps.
Families are welcome. Because the home includes a plunge pool and thoughtfully collected décor, families traveling with young children should plan for close supervision.
Only registered guests may stay overnight, with a maximum occupancy of 8 guests.
