About this cottage rental
This enchanting one-bedroom cottage is a dreamy pick for couples (and dogs!) looking for a romantic escape in the heart of Whitby. Step outside and you’re straight into the buzz of the town centre, with cobbled streets, independent boutiques, jewellers and cosy cafés right on your doorstep (all within 200 metres). Just 300 metres away is Whitby’s sandy beach and bustling harbour, where you can hop on a sea cruise or maybe catch a local festival. History lovers will enjoy the climb to Whitby Abbey (0.5 miles), the dramatic ruin that inspired the novel, Dracula. The majestic North York Moors National Park begins just 2 miles away, offering superb walking and cycling routes. You’re also just 300 metres from the train station for picking up the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to visit charming spots like Grosmont (6.5 miles), Pickering (21 miles) and Malton (28 miles).
Climb a few steps to the front door and step into a sleek, open-plan living space where the lounge, kitchen and dining areas flow into one open-plan space. With stylish design touches throughout and plenty of natural light, it’s a lovely place to unwind. A Juliet balcony lets in the sea breeze while the split stable door sets you up perfectly for dog-friendly stays. In the evening, cosy up with something on Smart TV while you sip wine from the cooler provided. Upstairs, a king-size bedroom awaits with an en-suite bathroom (complete with sunken bath and shower over) and fabulous views of Whitby Abbey. Another staircase leads up to a stargazing snug with a comfy sofa positioned beneath large Velux windows for admiring the Abbey under a starlit sky.
Out the front, there’s a small shared courtyard with bistro-style seating where you can enjoy morning coffees or evening drinks. You’ll also receive an on-street parking permit for one car.
