Perfect for a romantic Lake District break, the property provides a cosy base from which to explore the surrounding area, with scenic walks starting right from the doorstep and popular attractions including Rydal Water (2.4 miles), Loughrigg Fell (4.6 miles), Grasmere (4 miles), Windermere (4.7 miles) and Bowness (5.7 miles), all within easy reach. Ambleside itself offers a fantastic selection of independent shops, outdoor stores, cafes, bars, and traditional pubs, all just a short walk away, making this an ideal retreat for couples seeking both relaxation and adventure.
Head through the front door and after climbing the stairs to this first-floor, and you are welcomed by its cosy charm. All open plan, there is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining table with stunning views overlooking the rooftops and fells. Evenings can be spent snuggled up on the sofa, whilst watching your favourite films in the warmth of the wood burner. When ready to tuck into bed, climb up to the mezzanine level where the king-size bed awaits beneath low, sloping ceilings. There is clever storage tucked away for bags and belongings. The shower room is located on the ground floor, where you can revitalise after a day of exploring.
Centrally located, you could not be better placed to access Ambleside's local amenities. You can pull up in front of the cottage to unload and then use the parking permit, provided to park on the nearby car park - the permit allows for parking across several car parks through the local area.
