About this house rental
Set in the village of Challock, between Ashford and Faversham, this lovely little getaway for two people in a handy spot for exploring Kent’s countryside and coast. Head straight into King’s Wood (0.6 miles) for a waymarked trail that winds through beech and chestnut woodland, with spring bluebells and fallow deer to look out for. Keen walkers will also love venturing further into the Kent Downs National Landscape, including the Wye National Nature Reserve (6.5 miles), which is affectionately known for its orchids and birdlife. For a change of pace, browse Ashford Designer Outlet (8.5 miles) and its many restaurants. If you want a day at the beach, Hythe and Folkestone sit to the south (22 miles) while Whitstable (17 miles) lies on Kent’s north coast. The cathedral city of Canterbury is only 10 miles and is a great day out. Round off each day by picking up produce at Challock’s farm shop or call in at the village pub. The property is also located within 21 miles of the Eurotunnel for those looking to travel for a day out.
Step up three steps and into this cosy studio-style bolthole, where warm wood tones give the space an immediate welcoming feel. The lounge/diner sits just inside, with an authentic red postbox on the wall adding a playful touch of character. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook during your stay, including an air fryer, with a table for two beside the window. Afterwards, settle into the comfortable reclining sofa and switch on the TV for a relaxed evening in. Set just behind the living space and separated by a curtain is the inviting king size bed. Enjoy early nights or breakfast under the covers here. A stylish shower room with a WC completes the interior.
Outside, take a freshly made coffee to the bistro table and look out across the peaceful village green while deciding where the day might take you. Private parking is available for one car.
