Come to Gunnison for your next Colorado vacation and make this roomy rental your home away from home. With a seasonal stream in the backyard, a porch swing, and easy access to outdoor activities, you and your group of up to six will have the time of your life.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, this home puts you within walking distance to a park on the river. You'll also have easy access to Hartman Rocks recreation area, just 28 miles north, as well as public lands, hiking, biking, ATV trails, hunting, and fishing. When you arrive, park in the covered carport and step inside.
The open architecture allows for a light-filled layout with high ceilings in the living area that rises to a loft. Chill out on the comfy sofa and warm up by the wood fireplace (wood provided) while you watch a movie on the flatscreen cable TV that comes with a Blu-ray player. There's also a CD player, so you can play your favorite tunes while you make dinner.
Make your favorites in the well-equipped kitchen, or find a new recipe with the free WiFi access. Standard appliances - including a dishwasher - and ample counter and storage space make meal prep and cleanup a breeze. Eat together at the dining table for eight, or take your meal out to the patio and enjoy it al fresco. The property was cute. It needed some cosmetic repairs in the kitchen(the drawer front under the sink is glued on crooked.) Lots of chipped paint everywhere. Just needs some TLC but it is spacious and very clean. We have lived in Gunnison most of our lives but just sold our house and moved recently and had to come back for our niece’s graduation. We’ve always wondered about how big these cabins were and were pleasantly surprised.

We will definitely be back! What a great spot. We loved the darling neighborhood and location. Everything was perfect for us with one exception. The kitchen had what we needed and lots of space to cook and store groceries. The refrigerator was large and we loved having automatic filtered water and ice cubes. The open floor concept wonderful for our family to be together at all times. TV and sound system wonderful. It was nice to have cable! Laundry nice, with a great countertop to work on and downstairs bedrooms very spacious and private. The master bedroom is up the stairs which might be an issue for some but we loved the privacy. The master bath was a treat! From two sinks to a rain forest shower head it added a nice oasis for us. Walk in closet was a huge bonus too. Being dog friendly a plus. Really the owners have created a simple and beautiful but highly functional space to live. My one exception was the comfort of the mattresses. They are quite firm. My husband was fine but I had to add a foam pad to sleep comfortably.

As mentioned in previous reviews from a few months back the house needs significant improvement. Downstairs bathroom faucet is a liability, master bath tiles are coming up, jets dont work in tub, exhaust fan didn’t work, missing lightbulbs in both master and downstairs bathroom. Ceiling fan in master squeaks intermittently, and the oscillating fan os incredibly noisy. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Inside of windows screens are covered in spider webs. With the exorbitant fees tacked on to this property when booking i feel they should be held to a higher standard. All that said, we loved the location, and would absolutely book again if there are significant improvements made.
