Welcome to Route 81 Lodge in Salem, SD – where the road leads to relaxation and adventure! Conveniently located near I-90 between Sioux Falls and Mitchell. Traveling with family or on business, attending a local event, planning a family reunion, or in the area for a hunting trip? We can accommodate your needs in our 17-unit boutique lodge. Each room includes the comforts you need for a relaxing stay: mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, Roku TV, and WiFi.
Unit 1 has 2 queen beds and a private bathroom. Our 17-unit boutique lodge offers a variety of accommodations, including options for extended stays and the ability to reserve multiple rooms to cater to the needs and preferences of our guests. Small town Salem offers many conveniences: grocery store, meat market, bakery, coffee/ice cream eatery, bars and grills, boutique shop, C-stores, dollar store and laundromat. It`s a short walk from the lodge to the city park to enjoy lots of activities including a playground, pickleball court, outdoor swimming pool, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and picnic shelter for gatherings and outdoor grilling.
The Lodge does not have a staffed front desk, making check-in a smoother process. No more keys or cards to handle. Outside access to each room. We are just a phone call away if you need anything. Our attention to detail will ensure that the needs of each guest are met.
House Rules:
• Registrant must be at least 18 years of age.
• No smoking or vaping is permitted in rooms.
• Check-in from 4 pm – 11 pm (flexibility may be available upon request).
• Check-out is by 11 am.
• Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am to keep the lodge enjoyable for all guests.
• Route 81 Lodge does not have a staffed front desk, but rest assured, we are just a phone call away. Contact information is listed in each room.
• Only the number of guests listed on the reservation may occupy the room unless additional guests have been approved.
• Pets are permitted only in designated pet-friendly rooms and must be disclosed at the time of reservation. Pet fees may apply.
• Please treat the room, furnishings, linens, towels and property with care. Any incidentals or damages will be collected through the booking channel according to their policies.
• Guests will be given an electronic check-in code prior to arrival. Rooms have outside door access. The number of your unit will be visible on the door. Free parking is available.
