Welcome to Dogwood, Wildhaven's dog-friendly micro-sleeping cottage beside a gently flowing seasonal creek and overlooking our wildflower meadow. Created with pups and their people in mind, it's a cozy little retreat for two on our private 30-acre farm + forest retreat directly across from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Spend the day exploring Linville Falls, waterfalls and mountain towns, then come home to a fire beside the creek, a soak in the hot tub or a session in our Sauna in the Wild.

A LITTLE DIFFERENT BY DESIGN
Dogwood is intentionally off-grid and intentionally small. There is no bathroom or kitchen inside the cottage itself.
Instead, we've put the comforts where we think they matter: a real queen bed, quality linens, heating and cooling, warm lighting, fans and a portable power station for keeping your devices charged. Just a short walk away, Wildhaven's bathhouse has two complete private bathrooms with hot showers, plus a shared spa room and laundry. Our outdoor kitchen gives you a proper place to prepare meals.
It's our version of a little less stuff and a little more of what you came to the mountains for: creek, meadow, fire, fresh air and room to slow down.
WILDHAVEN IS PART OF THE STAY
Dogwood isn't an isolated vacation rental. It's one of just three overnight stays spread across Wildhaven's 30-acre micro-farm + forest retreat. Each accommodation has its own private area, while a handful of special spaces are shared—giving you privacy without feeling isolated and amenities that rarely feel crowded.

FOR PUPS + THEIR PEOPLE
Dogs aren't simply tolerated at Dogwood—we designed this cottage with them in mind. Bring your pup along for mornings beside the creek, fires outside and mountain adventures together.
Dogs must remain leashed outside Dogwood's private area, and we ask that you clean up after them and help us protect our wildlife, chickens and other guests.
No dog? You're every bit as welcome. Dogwood is meticulously cleaned between every stay, whether our previous guests arrived on two feet or four.
RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY
Wildhaven sits directly across from the Blue Ridge Parkway and less than 10 minutes from Linville Falls. Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, waterfalls, hiking, cycling and some of the best exploring in the North Carolina mountains are within easy reach.
Then come back to Wildhaven. Build a fire. Listen to the creek. Take a sauna or a soak.
