Some Lake Norman mornings start with coffee on the dock and nothing louder than a heron lifting off the water. That's the rhythm at Point of View, a waterfront home set on a quiet cove where the lawn runs down past the fire pit to a private dock, a covered cabana, and a stretch of shared beach. The main level opens up under a vaulted ceiling with walls of glass that pull the lake into nearly every room. The kitchen does the heavy lifting: a wide island with bar seating, KitchenAid appliances across the board, a beverage fridge, a Keurig Duo for the early risers, and enough counter space to build lunch for the whole group while someone works the grill outside. The dining table seats six, and the island picks up the overflow. There's a dedicated office off the living space for anyone who needs to clear a few emails before the boat gets untied, plus a laundry room so nobody packs more than they need to. Four bedrooms sit on this level. Two king rooms each have their own full bathroom, and two queen rooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath between them. A half bath keeps the main floor traffic moving. Downstairs is where the noise lives. The lower level is a full game room — pool table, air hockey, ping pong, a built-in bar with stools, and two smart TVs going at once. A shelf of board and card games (Catan, Codenames, Scrabble, Monopoly, Giant Jenga and more) settles the rainy afternoons, and a shared full bathroom means nobody has to go upstairs. Outside is the real draw. The covered cabana holds a lounge area and an outdoor dining table, with propane fire tables that take the chill off spring and fall evenings and string lights overhead once the sun drops behind the far shore. The hot tub sits just off the water with its own smart TV mounted nearby. There's a propane grill for the burgers, a fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs, pool towels stocked, and two kayaks waiting at the shoreline when the water goes glassy. The private dock is yours; the beach area is shared with the neighboring property. The location puts you in the calm half of the lake. Boat ramps and rental outfitters around the Pinnacle area are under ten minutes away, so a pontoon day takes almost no planning. Mooresville earned the "Race City USA" name honestly — a cluster of NASCAR team shops, including JR Motorsports and Front Row Motorsports, sits about fifteen minutes east, and Memory Lane Museum's collection of vintage race and film cars is closer still. Downtown Mooresville's Main Street shops, bakeries and restaurants are roughly a twenty-minute drive. Birkdale Village adds bigger shopping and dining about half an hour south, Charlotte Motor Speedway is around forty minutes, and uptown Charlotte and the airport are both about forty-five. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. - Please note that your home comes equipped with a Pack'n'Play and High chair. - Both fireplaces (natural gas, main and lower level) are decorative and not available for guest use. Signage is posted at each. - The home has two Trane thermostat zones: main level (in the primary king bedroom) and lower level (in the hallway outside the game room). Thermostats cannot be set below 72°F. - The home does not have blinds. Curtains are installed throughout and can be drawn for privacy and light control. - The dock is private to the home. The beach area is shared with the neighboring property to the right — please stay on your side of the shared beach. A camera may be present in the boat dock area. - The home runs on a septic system. Please flush toilet paper only — no wipes, paper towels, or other products. The water pump is original to the home. For the best water pressure, we recommend running one shower at a time. - Recycling service is not available in this area. All waste goes to household trash. - This is a wooded lakefront setting, and local wildlife — deer, ducks, raccoons, bats, spiders, and small rodents — is common in the area. Please keep exterior doors closed and food stored indoors. Parking Details: - Up to 5 vehicles may park on-site. Street parking and parking on the grass are not permitted. - The driveway is concrete and slopes downhill. Please use caution in wet or icy conditions. - The garage is not available for guest use. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit. We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.
