Hotel Monte Vista

The location of this hotel is great! And the Lobby area has great 1920's ambiance. The front desk staff were great.

The issue is the rooms are old and showing their age. The beds are full not queen and were small. The mattresses aren't great and lack some support on the sides, so when you get in them they slope and it is a bit of effort to get in. They aren't uncomfortable, just a bit unsupportive. The bathrooms, for the rooms that have them, are very small, and the grout in the shower needs .some repair, so it didn't feel clean. And because the hotel is old, there are not very many plugs, so there is nowhere to plug a phone in and have it on the bedside table one one side. And there is an air conditioner, but it is quite loud. We have stayed in Flagstaff at nicer hotels for half the price, albeit with less good location.
