Bring your family and friends for a relaxing stay at The Cedars! This 10-acre retreat and unique home are located in the heart of the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve, on the highest point of Mount Nebo Rd, with views extending all the way to Sugarloaf Mountain. Surrounded by forest and rolling pastoral hills, this traditionally-built house offers the perfect balance between the privacy of a fairytale-like cabin with easy access to many outdoor activities, and the various modern amenities found in the nearby town of Poolesville.
Designed with charm and sourced sustainably in collaboration with the Lumber Barn, the house features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, an open space common area, a country kitchen and living room with a TV and woodstove. Three bedrooms provide sleeping for two people each, while the fourth bedroom includes two trundle beds and can sleep four. The living room also has a pull-out sofa and a couch for additional sleeping options. All bedrooms have cathedral ceilings with exposed wood rafter ties.
The property is within biking distance to the Edwards Ferry Boat Ramp and the C&O Canal Towpath. Washington DC is about 45 min beautiful drive through Potomac, MD. Poolesville is only an 8-minute drive down the road, where you can find several restaurants and shops. The rear of the property has a hunting area and is close to a wildlife management area.
The barn at the end of the driveway can be used for parking cars, storing kayaks, bikes, and socializing under cover.
