Secluded mansion on 2 acres

This is the perfect location if you are going into D.C. The house wasn't quite as advertised only because the pictures need to be updated, the trees and bushes are getting overgrown. It was ideal for the grandkids. I'd stay there again!

We ran into several problems but the host/caretaker was very responsive to solutions. There was some kind of plant bug coming in around the fireplace but it was harmless to humans. The teenagers just killed them each time we came in and swept them up. The air conditioner unit for master suite went out but the host came in a couple hours and installed a window unit. The home was a bit out dated and a showing a little wear but we didn’t mind. We appreciated having enough space and bedrooms for all of us. Had a large table we were able to all sit around and eat together. Kitchen was fine. We always bring own large skillet and a few supplies that we deem necessary to cook with for our personal taste. But kitchen seemed to be well enough equipped. Plenty of parking for our cars. We did not plan on using the yard to play games/ball etc. but it was pretty overgrown so that might not work well if you had that in your plans. Unit was not far from the Metro train station that we used every day to do our sightseeing. Overall we were happy with location and the spacious living space. We would stay there again.

This was the perfect space for our family of 10 for our trip to DC for my graduation.Plenty of room for everyone and close enough to DC to enjoy the convenience while not feeling like your in the city. We were visited daily by the wildlife, deer, rabbits and even a fox!

The house is huge and has room for many to stay. However there is only one TV, very little furniture and very cheap amenities (like kitchen cookware, silverware...). The house is haunted and scared us all with sounds,.howls, and crazy things happening.
