Located at over 8,000 feet in the Colorado Rockies, guests arriving from lower elevations should stay hydrated and allow time to acclimate while enjoying the crisp mountain air.
No Air Conditioning
Like most mountain homes in South Fork, Gressoney Family Retreat does not have air conditioning. The cool alpine climate, low humidity, and refreshing nighttime temperatures naturally keep the cabin comfortable throughout the summer.
Wildlife
Deer, elk, foxes, and other native wildlife are common visitors in this peaceful mountain setting. Please enjoy wildlife responsibly and from a safe distance.
Winter Travel
Snowfall is common throughout the winter months. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended when traveling to the area.
Travel Insurance Recommended
Mountain weather, road conditions, flight delays, and other unforeseen circumstances can occasionally affect travel plans. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment, as cancellation policies remain in effect regardless of weather or transportation disruptions.
