About this house rental
Enter through the discreet side alley and step into a two-storey home that instantly reflects Richmond’s artistic pulse. The living area showcases creative layering, where woven textures, global artefacts, warm timbers and soft lighting create an inspiring, calming environment. A contemporary gas fireplace anchors the room with a gentle, atmospheric glow.
The kitchen continues the creative thread with open shelving displaying artisan pieces, while the oven, stovetop, dishwasher keep everyday cooking simple. The dining area for two doubles as both a shared meal setting and a practical meal-prep space. The private courtyard beyond offers a breezy outdoor nook styled with sculptural pots, natural materials and greenery.
Head upstairs to a second living area with a mini bar, complete with a fridge and a small setup for making tea, coffee and simple refreshments. The bedroom offers a calm sanctuary with a queen bed, ample storage and a dedicated workspace. There is a second workstation beneath the staircase for added flexibility. The bathroom features contemporary finishes, a generous rain shower and a freestanding bathtub—perfect after a day exploring the neighbourhood.
A concealed laundry cupboard with washer and dryer supports longer stays, while split-system air conditioning and heating in both the bedroom and downstairs living area ensure year-round comfort. Books, Pay TV, and Netflix are available for relaxed downtime. Although there is no on-site parking, dining, shopping and daily essentials are all within an easy walk.
Please note that some structure-borne noise, such as footsteps or conversation, may carry to the adjacent property, so please be mindful of overall sound levels.
Even though the floor is insulated, some structure borne noise can be transmitted such as footsteps and conversation. We ask that guests staying in the Haven please be mindful of noise they make for that reason. Similarly, some noise from the Retreat can also transmit upwards and we also ask guests staying in the Retreat downstairs to be mindful of noise they make transmitting to the Haven upstairs.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire townhouse to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
Set in one of Melbourne’s most creative pockets, this home places you moments from Richmond’s café and dining scene. Local favourites like Black Gold Eatery, Veneziano Coffee Roasters, and Friends of Mine on Swan Street are all a short walk away for easy, relaxed brunches.
Bridge Road’s food offerings begin just around the corner, from Ms Frankie’s handmade pasta to the long-standing Greek delis near Laikon and the ever-popular I Love Pho 264. For something elevated, Minamishima is also within easy reach.
Evenings are effortless at Prince Alfred Hotel, an easy stroll away, or at Harlow’s rooftop atmosphere on Swan Street. Barkly Gardens is a gentle walk from the door, and with the Bridge Road dining and shopping strip close by, Richmond’s creative energy is right at hand.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
