Highbury & Islington Stay

Lovely, renovated apartment. Brand-new cutlery and bedsheets. Basic amenities provided, e.g. towels, tea, coffee, sugar. Working gas stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine, garden, WI-FI, heating, etc. Easy to get to and from Euston station by underground or train. Tesco Express across the road, which closes at 23:00, so you have plenty of time to pop in and grab eggs, milk, etc. Nice stroll around Arsenal Stadium. The street is quiet, with plenty of people using bikes. Lovely big green space 10 mins down the road. Very comfortable. Takeaways/pubs/restaurants are a 10-20 min walk away. Please be mindful that this is an apartment building, so you will hear children's footsteps or people entering and exiting the building since you are on the ground floor. But after 21:00, it is fairly quiet. The host was responsive when we had an issue. Hopefully, in the summer, the host will focus on renovating the garden by adding chairs, a washing line, and outdoor lights. Currently, tomatoes are growing.

Water from the apartment above leaked through our bathroom wall vent, causing the vent to pour out a large amount of water and trip the light fuse box. Only the vent was affected; therefore, we had to mop up the excess water on the floor, empty the mop bucket, and access the fuse box at least 3 times during our stay. Luckily, as the water reduced, we were able to turn the light back on. Please note the fuse box is quite high in the corridor, so if you are shorter than 5 ft 5 in or so, you may struggle to reach it. The property owner apologised and tried his best to sort the situation with the above tenants.
