Unique, magazine-worthy luxury property located in the famous Vidigal favela with the best and most dramatic views. Guests will find an extraordinary 65m² duplex apartment, colorful, with 360º views of the ocean and mountains. Equipped like a 5-star hotel, including a bathtub, queen-size bed, gourmet kitchen, private deck, air conditioning, smart TV, and complete equipment for your stay.
The space
The apartment is located in a condominium with a doorman from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The apartment is located within the Vidigal favela, a bohemian community of artists, artisans, and foreigners, mixed with a welcoming local population. Vidigal resembles a typical Brazilian favela; however, this is a tourist favela and is now considered one of the safest areas in Rio de Janeiro. The apartment was recently renovated to 5-star hotel standards. The space was designed by a renowned Los Angeles designer and features new and antique furniture, as well as the latest appliances and home technology. The heating system for the shower and bathtub is powered by a solar water heater installed on the roof. The apartment features antique furniture, including a 1920s King Louis chair. Guest Access: The apartment does not have an elevator; our wonderful host will help you carry your luggage to your room. The apartment is on the 3rd floor. Please note that this apartment is located within a favela and on a slope, therefore some taxis and Uber drivers may not want to go up due to traffic jams and narrow streets that can make driving difficult for those unfamiliar with the area. We recommend using our taxi service, which is located near the apartment and is very experienced and familiar with the area. You can also use a motorcycle taxi; however, if you have luggage, please contact us so we can arrange transportation. Cleaning service is available upon request for an extra fee. 150MB WIFI, hot tub, TV room, airport transfer (recommended to avoid problems finding us), we charge a fixed fee of R$150.00 to pick you up at the airport. This service is highly recommended for those who have never visited Vidigal.
