About this house rental

Your classic midcentury oceanfront retreat awaits at Driftwest. Watch storms and sunsets through a wall of windows overlooking the Pacific, stroll the uncrowded beach, and unwind with books, DVDs, or vintage vinyl in a cozy space that blends mid-century modern simplicity with vintage coastal and tiki-inspired touches, creating a nostalgic beach experience. Ideal for couples, creatives, and anyone craving a quieter Oregon Coast escape.

Driftwest was designed as a place to unwind, read, listen to records, watch the weather roll in, and spend long unhurried days at the Oregon Coast.

Built in 1962 by an art professor and her husband as a creative weekend escape, the house still carries the spirit of that moment — when postwar beach cabins were simple, modern, and deeply connected to landscape, light, and leisure.

Today, the house remains intentionally modest and full of character: original midcentury lines, expansive ocean-facing windows, retro furnishings, tiki and coastal touches, vintage records, warm wood tones, and the kind of atmosphere that recalls classic beach trips of a quieter era of the Oregon Coast.

Driftwest sits on a rare double lot with unobstructed ocean views and a uniquely open feeling for the coast.
