This 3-story 900sf contemporary beach home has 20ft cathedral ceilings, natural wood beams, and sweeping ocean views. You are only steps away from access to Heceta Beach with its miles of sandy shore and a short walk to Surfside Bistro - the award winning clam chowder is amazing! From the homes deck you’ll relax to the sounds of crashing waves while sipping your favorite beverage and enjoying breathtaking sunsets!
On the ground level there is a two-car garage with a convenient toilet and washer and dryer. Enjoy the ocean air while sitting at the picnic table and watching the kids and dogs play in the large fully fenced back yard - truly a rare gem for a beach house!
The main living space is upstairs on the second floor and features floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the ocean views. A wood stove in the living room creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare and enjoy your fresh catch seafood dinner. On this level you’ll also find the primary bedroom that features a king-size bed, dresser, and Roku Smart TV (one of three Roku TVs in the home), and a full bathroom.
Spiral stairs lead up to the third floor open loft where there are 3 more beds, a sofa, TV, and another dining table providing even more living space and ocean views. On a clear day you can see Heceta Head Lighthouse from the North facing window! Whether playing the provided musical instruments (Tik Tok moments?!), relaxing on the sofa watching tv, or sitting at the table playing cards, board games or puzzling, you're sure to have a fun time with family and friends.

The property was small but had a view of the ocean. The biggest negative for us was the Avari Property Mngt. (the local Florence contact was great, but the company (headquarters?) was not.) The first issue was with the pet fee. None was listed on the site and when I contacted VRBO no one knew the answer-finally thru VRBO I was connected (phone) to an Avari rep who then told me it was 150. That seems quite high, but at the very least the website needs to note that additional pet fees will apply. Next problem, I received no "reminder" email or contact that the 2nd payment was due. I realized it a few days after the due date and attempted to contact them. It took them a while (24 hrs?) to respond and I told them in the email that I had a different credit card. Despite this they used the cancelled one and contacted me (again) and I asked them which card they had used ( didn't use the new one). Got that sorted out. Next a few weeks out I got a link asking for a selfie and a copy of my drivers license or passport. We have used VRBO at least 6 times before and never were asked for that information. I didn't like the request but I complied only to have trouble with it processing. Repeatedly I got error messages (the photo of passport was illegible- reflective glare). I had at least 3 more back and forth messages with them (probably AI generated) telling me to try this then that. Nothing worked and finally they sent a text saying I could skip that step. Way too much!

The house was amazing. Lots of room. Beautiful view. Was a great vacation. Celebrated our boys birthday.

It is a great place to stay, except in cold weather. The little heaters are totally insufficient to heat the high, uninsulated ceiling of the living room and loft. Even the loft does not warm up in the morning. It was like backpacking, get up, dress quickly, including coats and hats. The heaters in the bathroom & bedroom are adequate for those rooms, but the living space is not comfortable until the afternoon.
