The cabin comfortably accommodates families and groups while maintaining its cozy cabin charm.
One of the highlights of the property is the large screened-in porch overlooking the lake. It's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book, play cards, or simply listen to the loons calling across the water at sunset. Wildlife sightings are common—you may see deer, turtles, eagles, herons, ducks, and more during your stay.
The quiet no-wake lake is ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. Our new dock makes it easy to cast a line, and guests regularly catch Northern Pike, Bass, Perch, Bluegill, and Sunfish. Whether you're an experienced angler or introducing kids to fishing for the first time, it's a wonderful place to spend the day.
Looking for adventure? A seasonal ATV and snowmobile trail begins just three houses away, making the cabin an excellent basecamp for trail riding. In the winter you'll also find skiing nearby-cross country and downhill, while warmer months offer golf, hiking, boating, and beautiful Northern Michigan scenery.
When you're ready to explore, downtown Gaylord is only a short drive away. Its charming Alpine-themed downtown features wonderful local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, shopping, festivals, and family-friendly activities throughout the year.
One thing you won't find here is Wi-Fi. We've intentionally kept the cabin unplugged because we've discovered that some of the best family vacations happen without screens. Instead, you'll find shelves full of games, puzzles, books, toys, and classic movies—perfect for rainy afternoons or evenings after a day on the lake.
Our cabin is our second home, not just a rental, and we've stocked it with the things we appreciate when we travel. You'll find comfortable linens, towels, soaps, a well-equipped kitchen, cooking essentials, games, toys, and thoughtful extras throughout the cabin. Simply bring your clothes, groceries, and a desire to relax—we've taken care of the rest.
If you're looking for marble countertops and luxury amenities, this may not be the right fit. But if you're looking for a place where kids catch their first fish, mornings begin with coffee on a screened porch, evenings end with loons calling across the lake, and families reconnect over games instead of phones, we think you'll fall in love with our cabin just as we have.
We hope your stay here becomes the start of a tradition and that you'll leave with wonderful memories—and maybe even a fish story or two.
