About this cottage rental
With panoramic views over the bustling fishing town of Brixham and its glistening bay, this terraced cottage enjoys a central location and is perfect for families and groups of friends planning a seaside holiday. Vibrant Brixham boasts a working harbour just metres from the property’s doorstep, where restaurants serve the catch of the day, and cafes, pubs, shops and galleries buzz with visitors. Join the famous South West Coast Path here, too, and enjoy clifftop jaunts towards Paignton and Torquay in one direction (both within 7.5 miles), or Kingswear (9 miles) in the other. Plan days on the sand too, and choose from several nearby beaches – Breakwater Beach, St Mary’s Bay, and Shoalstone Beach with its tidal pool are all within a mile. Further afield, the towns of Torquay and Paignton are popular resorts and can be accessed by car, foot, bus and even a ferry – The Western Lady.
The front of the property is accessed via six external steps from the road. Step inside and you will be greeted by a bright and attractive, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – the social heart of the home. The lounge area is a relaxing space with a comfy corner sofa, a Smart TV, and views over the town and out to sea through the full-length window. Find that the kitchen is well equipped for cooking up feasts for the group, who can gather at the dining table here, at the breakfast bar if numbers are low, or alfresco-style outside. Completing the ground floor is a well-appointed family shower room. Follow the steep cottage-style stairs to the first floor where two welcoming bedrooms await – a double room with a Smart TV and sea views, and a cosy single room with a Smart TV. This light and airy space also boasts a Smart TV for lazy mornings, but its best feature is no doubt the private roof terrace with splendid views and inviting seating.
Outside, to the front of the property, awaits a peaceful, glass-fronted terrace with a bench – the perfect spot for a scenic morning brew. At the back of the property is a small, secluded seating area with a cute bistro set for al fresco meals. Although no private parking is available, the surrounding residential streets offer unallocated spaces where local charges apply, as do the nearby public car parks.
