Spend time in Keswick shopping, dining out and visiting museums. Go to the cinema or book a ticket to see a play at the Theatre by the Lake. Take a boat trip on picturesque Derwentwater or hire your own boat and take a picnic with you. Plan days out to Bassenthwaite Lake, 4 miles away, or Ullswater, 12 miles away. Have an afternoon in Penrith, 17 miles away, which also has a good selection of shops and eateries.
