About this cottage rental
This contemporary and stylishly furnished property is located in the quiet hamlet of North Boarhunt, ideal as a base to explore all that Hampshire has to offer; from picturesque walks in the South Downs National Park, to retail therapy in the cities of Southampton (20 miles), Portsmouth (8 miles) and Winchester (18 miles). The delightful nearby village of Wickham (1.5 miles) boasts an array of independent retailers, an impressive selection of eateries and a variety of pubs and wine bars; ideal for couples looking to experience the immediate area, with taxis being available from the location. Located around 4 miles to the west, the wonderful Quob Park Estate also offers regular wine-tasting events – booking is essential.
Upon entering the property on the ground floor, there is ample space for coats and boots; along with a handy cupboard and a chic shower room. Stairs rise to the first floor where the open-plan kitchen/lounge/bedroom area can be found. This space is flooded with natural light thanks to the bi-folding doors to the rear which open out onto a wonderful balcony. The kitchen area is well-equipped and features everything you might need to cook a romantic meal for two, with the added benefit of a dishwasher and a window which enjoys far-reaching views across paddocks and open countryside. A sumptuous king-size bed, cosy sofa and impressive remote-controlled Smart TV which gently lowers from the ceiling (and can be rotated to enjoy TV while relaxing on the balcony) is a superb addition to this lavish property.
A shared driveway leads to a private parking area immediately behind the property, with space for two cars; and the property is then accessed along a private footpath alongside the adjoining storage barn. The balcony is a particular feature of this wonderful property, with a dining table and chairs and a sofa in which to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing, whilst enjoying the views across paddocks and fields beyond.
