About this cottage rental

Situated in the heart of the Norfolk countryside with rural views and easy access to the North Norfolk coast, this is a great place from which to explore the surrounding area. Harpley is a quiet village with a country pub and children's play park (both under 0.25 miles of the property) and many country walks including the Peddars Way. Sandringham and the King's estate is just up the road and Houghton Hall can be found in the neighbouring village (3 miles). The coast is a short drive away, so why not visit stunning Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster and Holkham beaches or see the seals at Blakeney Point? Nearby historic attractions include Castle Acre, Castle Rising and the Mid-Norfolk steam railway. The city of Norwich and the Norfolk Broads both offer a wonderful day out and are within an hour’s drive.

As you enter this newly renovated house you arrive in the hallway where you can kick off those walking boots before heading through to the open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar provides a real home away from home feel with its electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. A freezer and washing machine can be found in the utility room just off the kitchen. The dining room has seating for up to six guests to enjoy lazy lunches and family dinners, with French doors leading out to the garden. The lounge area with its field view has ample seating that surrounds a wood burner and a Smart TV, perfect to cosy up and watch your favourite movies. There is also the convenience of a downstairs shower room and WC. Heading up the stairs, there are three bedrooms. The front bedroom offers an unspoilt sunrise view of the old mill, it has a king-size bed, double wardrobe and dressing table. The second spacious bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) with a wardrobe and drawers. The third bedroom is suitable for children with a low-rise bunk bed and wardrobe cupboard. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Heading outside to the back of the house, there is an enclosed garden with a dining area, garden furniture and BBQ so you can catch the evening sun and enjoy some al fresco dining whilst you watch the resident red kites fly overhead. The property also benefits from a front garden with uninterrupted views over the field and the old mill. There is gated off-road parking for two cars. There is also an outside tap to wash off muddy paws.

Please note: Property will support a maximum of 4 adults (plus 2 children)
