About this cottage rental
Boasting an on-site health club and spa, places to eat and an 18-hole golf course, St Mellion Estate is a fantastic place to stay for a break filled with rest and relaxation. On the fringes of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there’s plenty to see and do if you fancy venturing further afield too. Take a walk along the pretty River Tamar or stroll around the grounds of National Trust’s Cotehele Mill (3.5 miles). Any kids in your party will love a visit to the Cornish Maize Maze (3 miles) or a day out at Adrenalin Quarry (12 miles). When you’re craving a cosmopolitan buzz, Plymouth is just 12 miles away and packed with restaurants, shops and beautiful seafront vistas.
Enter the stylishly designed reversed living turret and into a spacious hallway which features the magnificent spiral staircase which leads you up into the open-plan living space. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, the first being the lovely master bedroom with a super-king-size-zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request at the time of booking) a dressing area, a seating area and a Smart TV, the perfect place to relax with a good book or watch your favourite programmes. This room also features a freestanding bath where you can bubble away after a long day out exploring. You also have patio doors leading outside to the terrace. The second bedroom is a handy bunk room offering an alternative sleeping arrangement or additional person, with storage. There is also a WC on this floor. Moving upstairs via the very quirky spiral staircase you will find a wonderful lounge/kitchen/dining room as well as a shower room with WC. The large open-plan space offers stylish contemporary living with a fully equipped kitchen offering an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Everything you could need to cook up a meal or pack up a good lunch. The lounge area offers comfortable seating and a Smart TV and patio door out onto a balcony, the perfect spot for relaxing with a cold drink after a long day. There is a good size dining table which is in the centre of the room and is a great place to enjoy a meal and talk about the day.
Outside is a terrace area with garden furniture and a balcony off the lounge. There are also 450 acres of natural grounds to roam. Guests also have use of the complimentary health club. Private off-road parking for two cars.
