Located 5 miles from the historic market town of Brecon, Garthbrengy is a hidden gem in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park offering guests a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life. With its rolling hills, tranquil streams and panoramic views, the area is ideal for hiking, cycling, fishing and other outdoor activities. You can take advantage of the waymarked footpaths from your doorstep. You’ll also be within easy reach of some of the quieter mountains including the Black Mountains range (10 miles) Waun Fach, Twmpa, and the Hay Bluff. Llangorse Lake is just 11 miles away, where you can hire a rowing boat, kayak, Canadian canoe, or stand-up paddleboard. There are many market towns to explore including Brecon (5 miles) known for canal sidewalks, a theatre, a cathedral and the Welsh Museum and Hay-on-Wye (15 miles) which sits on the banks of the River Wye and is famed for its book festival.

The bedroom area features a comfortable and inviting double bed; you’ll also find ample storage space to keep your belongings tidy and out of the way during your stay. The space is completed with a shower room, so you can freshen up after a day of exploring the nearby trails and natural wonders.
Outside is an enclosed garden and a private terrace where you can sit back and soak up the panoramic views across the Brecon Beacons. Take a stroll around the field in front of The Box or sit and watch the sheep grazing nearby. A newly added private track allows access to the parking area to the rear of The Box.
