My husband and I love this place! This was our 2nd visit. The staff are warm, friendly and on hand for all your needs. We love the feeling of isolation, the views and the cosy log fire ! We'll definitely be going back!
It can be a bit chilly if you get up late or hang out in the apartment during the day so this time we took extra clothes and slippers for the stone floor and all was good.

Loved the Hayloft, a home away from home. Was my first time in Wales and hope to be back, definitely recommend.
Thank you Rose for the hospitality and for being a great host. All the small details and cottage vibes were though about. Kitchen was also well maintained and equipped for our 2 night stay.
Only minor point was the shower was weaker than used to and the water didn't drain that well.

Location was stunning. Super comfortable and relaxing. A home from home
Nothing I didn’t like. Observations not criticism.. if any of you are travelling with elderly parents, a note that the bathroom in the Hayloft is downstairs. Also the shower head requires a shower cap, unless you want to wash your hair every day 😄

Absolutely everything. Loved it! The homemade marmalade …
A little noise breakthrough from upstairs (it didn’t disturb us).

The location (views were fabulous) as it very quiet and peaceful.
The room was spacious and a very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee supplies to hand with their own spring water available, which was very lovely.
Now the breakfast i had was fresh and cooked for me. Firstly was their own apple juice from their crop of apples. Fresh rhubarb from the garden, which went down rather well with yoghurt (had 2 bowls). Freshly made bread with homemade marmalade. And of course the cooked breakfast....needed all of this as i was heading off to Pen y Fan for a 24hr challenge.

We absolutely loved Alltybrain and our host, Rose, was wonderful. The house, gardens, land, location, all fantastic. Rose is incredible. Honey from her own bees, homemade marmalade, rhubarb from her fabulous plot, and the gardens are magnificent. We are DEFINITELY coming back!
Nothing not to like. If you wants slick, modern, fancy glossy surroundings with computers, hi-tech and so forth then maybe this isn't for you, but if you want a stunning getaway in a delightful location with a superb host, this is ideal. perfect!

The stay was truly enjoyable—what stood out most was how kind and attentive the host was. The breakfast was fresh and well-prepared, and the location couldn’t have been more picturesque. It was the perfect spot to unwind, surrounded by nature and peaceful views.
all good, nothing to say!

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautifully modernised old farm building. It perfectly blended character and comfort, original beams and stonework paired with stylish, thoughtful touches throughout. Peaceful, cosy, and surrounded by stunning Brecon views - we didn’t want to leave!
Nothing, all superb!

Calm, comfortable and peaceful. Well equipped.
We’d have liked a double bed and larger bath towels. The bathroom was cold as it seemed the radiator didn’t work.

The location was quiet and peaceful just what we wanted. We also like that it was self catering so we could be independent.
I can't think of anything that was negative.

Self catering
New pans with thick bottoms suitable to use on an electric hob would be better, now the bottom of the pans change so they make not good contact. Also a few new clean oven plates would be nice.

Rose was there to greet us and had allowed us to check in early so we could go on a walk without leaving our luggage in the car. She met us complete with cute little gosling in hand! The Hayloft was a beautiful spacious studio apartment with four single beds, a curtain dividing the sleeping area from the living area. There was a beautiful view from the bedroom area. The apartment was spacious and tastefully decorated and the kitchen area well kitted out. The farm was very well located, only a 10 minute drive from Brecon.
The shower room downstairs was a bit cold compared to the beautifully warm and cosy upstairs, but I guess this was due to the flagstone floor and stone walls, which are part of an old building. The shower was not very powerful. But these were minor points which did not detract from the beautiful accommodation. I would book this place again.

Well appointed and very comfortable bed. Beautiful views and peaceful
In January a little background heating would have been nice rather than just having to light the wood burner

We only stayed for one night, the room was very comfortable and Rose was very welcoming. We had a very nice breakfast in the morning, We had a choice of cereal, fruit (from the garden) and yoghurt and then Rose brought us in a cooked breakfast. It was nice but my husband is fussy about his eggs and didn't eat most of the breakfast, because he doesn't like certain things, mushrooms/ tomatoes. It was a set breakfast. We also had toast, tea and coffee, but no decaf. We had a full WiFi signal which was great, we also had a separate bath and shower, which was lovely to have. The location was great, easy to find and has a lovely local pub just round the corner which serves lovely food, and great value for money. No tv in our room, but that didn't matter really. We had tea-making facilities in the room, no coffee, just tea bags and some fruit teas.

Friendly welcome into the hosts' home. Lovely breakfast, freshly cooked. We shared a table with other guests, which was great fun. Beautiful rural location, but very close to and convenient for Brecon town.
There were a couple of minor glitches in the room (a bedside light not working; no cups for the coffee) but all these were put right immediately they were pointed out.
