About this cottage rental
Nestled in a peaceful tranquil position on the edge of a working farm beside the historical house of Erracht lodge, the birth place of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Alan Cameron, who raised the Cameron Highlanders in 1793. Set amid the most spectacular scenery enjoying magnificent views over the Nevis range and the splendid Caledonian Canal. Fort William is within easy reach with its excellent leisure and shopping facilities, situated at the foot of the mighty Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. Enjoy many outdoor pursuits including skiing, snowboarding, hill walking, fishing, shooting, golf, water sports, mountain biking trails and the Jacobite steam train ride. Glencoe, Oban, Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, Cairngorms and Inverness are all easily accessible in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The pretty front garden leads you up 2 steps into the charming single storey property where you enter the large porch, through to the light and bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with beautiful stain glass windows and high ceilings. You are first met with the stylish well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, the dining area with seating and side door access leading out to the rear enclosed garden. The lounge area enjoys splendid mountain views, with TV/DVD and wood burner perfect for cosy nights listening to the crackling fire, continuing on from the lounge area you will find the bathroom with bath, shower and WC. Next, you are met with the bedrooms opposite, a double and twin both with plenty of storage space and wonderful forest and mountain views. Leading from the kitchen area you will also find the boot /utility area with washing machine, laundry pully and freezer.
Venturing outside into the mature garden, there is a seating area perfect for alfresco dining and lazy evening star gazing over the wonderful mountains ranges.
