Explore the moors and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales along with Nidderdale an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many activities available on the Dales for the more adventurous from mountain biking to rock climbing and abseiling, or just a bracing walk across the fells. The Victorian spa town of Harrogate is close by with gardens to walk and admire, independent shops, pubs, restaurants and spa treatments. Slightly further afield is the ancient city of York with lots to entertain all including museums, theatres, historic buildings, art galleries, National Railway Museum, independent shops, pubs and eateries. If you want to get away from it all, this is certainly a great place to stay.
