Set in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and situated at the top of the stunning Sterridge Valley, this is part of a complex of attractive cottages. This cosy cottage sits on edge of Exmoor National Park with amazing views of the 18 acres of open countryside. The properties benefit from being in an elevated position where you are surrounded by acres of countryside and woodlands offering a relaxing and tranquil holiday retreat. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind with many beautiful country and coastal walks to be enjoyed from the doorstep, or a short drive takes you to the outstanding Exmoor National Park. The lovely village of Combe Martin is a few minutes’ drive away, and hosts a highly recommended 17th century inn. Also nearby is the delightful picturesque village of Berrynarbor. The golden sandy beaches of Croyde, Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe are all just a twenty-minute drive away, offering some of the best sand and surf in the South West.
On entering this delightful single-level property, which offers charming views over the Sterridge Valley, you will find yourself in the bright and cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In the lounge, you can relax under the traditional exposed beams with TV, DVD and sofa. The stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. The dining area is ideally situated. Exploring further, you will find a comfy double bedroom, and a bathroom complete with shower over bath and WC.
Heading outside, is a patio area with your own picnic table and charcoal BBQ or you can unwind at the end of the day on the spacious lawn area with outdoor seating which is shared with the other properties in the complex. Or you could head for the shared indoor heated swimming pool with sunken hot tub. Children can also play in an enclosed outdoor play area with swing basket, trampoline, baby swing and picnic benches, and there’s an indoor games barn with table tennis, pool table and table football. There are also 18 acres of gardens and paddocks to explore, making the site a real country retreat ideal for families, friends or couples alike. Guests are welcome to meet the resident donkeys and pony. Sheep and cows also graze the surrounding meadows of the farm.
